Car has been in my garage since yesterday afternoon, and it still shows "In Transit" in the Ford trackers. :D Maybe I can go ask for another one.
Congrats! This gives me a little hope that it will be here this week, but I’m not going to get too excited lol.

My trackers are all "In Transit" as well and I just received word from my dealer that the car has arrived! Switching my mood from Angst to Excitement! ?

I did notice that the trackers were all failing to pull up my status yesterday and I was hoping for a good update. That seems to be the case.

Mine finally updated in palsapp. Now it lists my dealer in Michigan in the Destination field. First time the palsapp info changed at all. FYI for those tracking their own, mine was built Sept 27th, and shipped on Oct 4th.

Did you check hidden data via devtools? it shows some interesting stuff, like the other cars on the truck.
And congrats, you'll get your car in about 3-4 days after status says "dispatched "

Italian flagged Grande Torino left Veracruz on 10/09 and unloaded 356 MME's in Newark, New Jersey on 10/24. MME's in varying quantities have shown up at US ports since production started late last year, but they were always for Ford's German subsidiary and presumably for sale in Europe (although it is baffling why they would be unloaded at US ports). This latest batch stand out because the shipper is Ford's Mexican subsidiary and the consignee is the mother ship - Ford Motor Company.

Steve,

Mine took 13 days from Mexico to Kansas City. Now in a black hole. I've asked my dealer for a VVR.
Any update on yours? None here.

I got a rail car number from another forum user. The CSX phone number says that this car was empty and released by the customer in August in Colorado. So either the rail car number is wrong (doubtful), or the rail car was emptied a long time ago and is either back on the way to KC or is being loaded in KC and the tracker info hasn’t been updated yet.

Sounds like good news -- can you point me to the thread or user that provided the info? Thanks!

My last VVR update said the following:

I thought maybe they started shipping cars into the USA using ocean vessels, but that was so weird and different from the normal KC path, I thought it must be bad data. Or maybe it was sitting in Veracruz waiting for a group of east coast cars because they ran out of room to store them in Mexico City. Which actually doesn't make a lot of sense. Shipping by ocean vessel is a better explanation for my VVR.

Any idea how I can find my car if it shipped via ocean vessel? Probably I won't know anything until my dealer calls me and says they have my car. What a PIA because I have to fly to NJ to pick it up, and a little notice would be good. Oh, well. First world problems.

You can only track if CSX (for example) is the one pulling the railcar. The only 2 that go west is Union Pacific and BNSF. BNSF CANNOT be tracked.

I think your vehicle was very likely on the Grande Torino - the timestamp on its last known location is 15 minutes before the ship's time of departure. Customs manifests often show VIN numbers for shipments of just a handful of cars (such as the two pre-production MME's arriving New Orleans in June 2020, which was also interesting because their VIN numbers suggested Germany rather than Mexico), but for larger shipments they do not. Since your dealer is in New Jersey, United Roads is probably the one doing the last mile delivery. The tracking information on their website has been hit or miss for me when I looked up past deliveries in my area, sometimes clicking on the dealer's name would bring up a receipt with date and time, but more often it does not.

Now I suspect my car was on the same vessel. I have collected a number of VIN's on vehicles coming to Southeastern PA and New Jersey, their ship dates ranging from 9/21 to 10/8, what they have in common is that they were all part of the July backlog and infamous chip hold and not a single one of them has shown up on palsapp.com. On the other hand the handful of vehicles destined for my area with ship date of 10/09 arrived Norfolk Southern's Voltz Yard last weekend, the difference there is that they were never subject to a chip hold. I am going to ask my dealer to check the last known location of my car. To be honest, I would be relieved if it was indeed on the Grande Torino because in that case it would be trucked directly to my dealer from Newark.

Tell you what, I can take delivery for you at the NJ dealer and drive it down to Virginia. I swear that I won't take a detour to a drag strip... ?

Thanks for the offer! But you know the 1/4 mile will be disappointing, per all the posts in this forum, so maybe just a few 1/8 mile runs. ;-)

I checked United and same as always: no real information. The VIN works, but nothing happens when I click on the dealer name.

So if our cars were on that ship, we should be getting them very soon. Maybe next week. I am beyond ready!!!
