Parts falling out

If you open the doors and pull off the black plastic trim below the door jambs (it’s about 6” wide), I think the antenna clips into that. Otherwise it’s the rounded piece below it that covers the side of the battery. Clearly you had the battery pack dropped for the HVBJB and they didn’t clip it back in properly.

When I got the car back after my HVBJB replacement, I had the black/yellow twisted pair hanging out from behind the plastic trim at the bottom of both of the forward door jambs. They had never been visible before. They took the car into the shop and had it “fixed” in about 10 minutes.

Maybe your car is the spiritual ancestor of the BSA 441 Victor Special I owned and rode in the early 70s. Parts fell off Vic from the vibration of that big kick start thumper with some regularity.?

I know that feeling. I had a 58 BSA Goldstar that shook things up quite a bit.

I was cut off and had to break hard and the front right side keyless entry antenna module and associated wiring popped out from under the car. What?

Back in the day, I owned a '62 and '67 MGB-GT. I was a frequent visitor to the local English car junk yard/recycling center. They sold bumper stickers that stated: "THE PARTS FALLING OFF THIS CAR ARE OF THE FINEST BRITISH MANUFACTURE"

I thank you for that piece of info as it will be useful when I go back to the dealer. I think it may have happened during manufacturing as my car is standard range and I believe the HVBJB work was just for extended range.

nope, HVBJBs have been replaced in all trims and both SR and EX batteries. Fewest in Rwd - Select - SR, but some.

I have a '21 AWD Select SR, and HVBJB was replaced at about 28k miles.

Had a beach buggy - shortened VW Beetle. So much vibration, put 3 engines in it because it rattled parts of carburettors loose which dropped into engine which ingested it and the pile of parts in yard which rattled loose and fell off got bigger whilst the car got smaller ?

It’s possible that the antenna might work better and PAAK will be more responsive in that current configuration…

Mach-Lee to the rescue again.

Well I talked to the dealer today and I talked to the FORD representative. They want $1,200 to fix the issue. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Yes, the car is 2 months out of warranty, but only 17,700 miles and a part attached to the interior of the car falls out???
