Not sure how dealers are going handle Mach E's that are not going to purchased. They have no idea I won't be purchasing the vehicle. I've changed my mind, several things have come up in my life that makes it not a good time to be buying a new car. I live in northern Michigan dealer is Dean Arbor so not easily excessable. My order # is 10016189 it's scheduled to be built the week of Dec 6th ?? it's a Premium rear drive , star white metallic exterior, black onyx interior and extended range battery. I'm not trying to sell my order just pass it on to someone interested. If interested email me at [email protected]

I have two orders so I'm not taking one. The dealer said he would just take the extra and sell it like normal. I have mentioned it to friends to see if anyone might be interested but no takers so far.

You can either officially cancel the order and move on. Or let the dealer have it and move on. That's pretty much the limit of what you can realistically do imo.

Good luck with 2021. This year sucked.

That’s the same order I spec’d but I think the dealer may have dropped the ball and put the order in late, I wonder if there is a way to get your order shipped to North Carolina.

I’d love to move up the line for a Premium RWD standard battery in Carbonized Grey, Black interior. In California. Placed my order late November so I’m guessing Summer 2021 at the earliest is when I’d take delivery.

FWIW: Several months ago, I posted that without a viable lease I was not taking delivery of my Rapid Red First Edition and if anyone was interested to contact me.

So far no one has.

I believe the cars are non-transferrable. It would be better to cancel it, which may open up a build slot for someone else waiting.

I was told by the EV Team that once your car was scheduled it will be delivered to your dealer no matter what. They won't take it out of the lineup at that point. I ordered a Premium and then got into their Mach Drop program for a FIrst Edition. My Premium got scheduled but I still didn't have any firm confirmation from my dealer about the Mach Drop First Edition. But the EV Team told me not to worry, the Premium would show up at my dealer and my First Edition was scheduled to be built 2 weeks later. And my dealer was happy to hear they would have a Premium they could sell.

Sure that could be. But I'm just saying if you KNOW your not going to buy the car it's POSSIBLE it could benefit another customer by canceling. It shouldn't matter to the person w/ the order.

Ask your dealer if s/he can do a pass-through sale. Some dealers do that all the time with used cars. Perhaps they can also do it with a new car. Basically, this means that the dealer acts as an intermediary and sells your car to the buyer through the dealer. My dealer does that often but they do charge an inspection fee before they take on the liability. I think the fee is something like ~$150 or so.

I would take over an earlier order for an Infinite Blue ER AWD FE or Premium in Maryland. Ordered in October and wouldn't mind getting it sooner. I remember reading a while back that you can't transfer so I don't assume it's an option, but I'm disturbed to hear that dealers plan on accepting and selling them well before mine gets built.

I've saved copies of all of the screens and legal texts that I agreed to during the order workflow. But I don't remember this part. Can you point us to it?

I also saved email communications between my dealer and me, indicating that I can buy the vehicle under the x-plan, which means the price is fixed by that plan.

Alternatively if I didn't use x-plan, I would have gotten written communication from them with some other agreement (e.g. $1,000 below MSRP or whatever).
