If you are out for a road trip, your phone's gonna run low if you are tasking it to navigate and stream music.

The non-mag safe chargers are not a good application for cars. My sister has multiple cars with with "put your phone in the cubby" and get a free hand warmer feature. I had her get MagSafe chargers and she is much happier. I bought a 2 foot USB cable. Less issues with my phone connecting and it charges way faster.

I do have one but slightly modified in the rear. In my previous console I had the cord go down under to get its power so that it was hidden. My current console is completely different and only has space for one phone so the dual TWRAPS won’t fit. Not sure if you want the one I have but it does work great and has for several years.

at home my phone stays the whole day at the charger, no heat...

Same here. Fine at home, but on long trips in my Mach E or in our other car (BMW X1) it overheats (or at least gets very hot). So I use a USB cable on long trips and reserve the wireless charger for shorter battery top ups.

my gigaset gs5 is seriously overheating while wireless charging. (additional failure message at the phone)

My TWRAPS dual wireless charger works well, strong magnets, two charge locations. Of course, no product can improve the limited charging current offered by the USB-C outlet on the MachE. I think it is limited to 2A (10W), whereas many AC chargers on the market can support up to the iPhone limit of 39W.
