So I picked up my select yesterday in Grabber Blue color. I got the base Select with RWD and no options. Not even the comfort package, and the car is all what I was expecting. Just superb.
The acceleration is enough for me, and the price was right. In my state, any EV under 45K get $1300 tax rebate( Rebate is for the first $20k for the 6.5% tax rate).

The car was not part of the recall and was not on hold. Even the dealer was surprised.
This may be because the car was built May 26th 2022. Other reason might be that it is a select with no options and does not need lot of power draw.(This may not be the case)

All good so far, will report if I see any issues.

One question, how do you lock the car without using the key? There seem to be a lock icon above the door button, but the car seem to do nothing when I press it.

Congrats on the new car!

If you are using PAAK, just walk away, the car will lock. You will hear it honk when this happens.

The lock icon on the door should lock the car. You sometimes have to hold it, press multiple times, swipe it. If you're using your phone as a key, it'll probably take a few taps.

if using phone as key I find placing my phone (usuallynor already in my pocket by then) near the pillar then pressing. Maybe delusional but seems to help. Def helps unlock. I don’t use walk-away lock.

The base model no options is the best bang for your buck, good choice. I was OTD for roughly 35k after all the rebates for my base select.

you can hit the lock button, the fob button, both the 7-8/9-0 button, or use walk away lock. I use paak and walk away lock works most of the time but occasionally it won’t lock. If I don’t hear the horn I’ll pull my phone out and lock it with the app. Auto Unlock usually doesn't Work that well. I’ll just hit the unlock button in the app while walking up. Unfortunately I don’t see it getting much better without super wide tolerances for distance which I don’t want. Bluetooth just isn’t that accurate for distance.

Did you use ford options? Could you please share the rates and incentives?
