Out of date per who? That’s the problem, you’re thinking about this wrong. Just because 6.7 or 6.8 is out doesn’t mean you’re behind. The PowerUp versions actually mean nothing. The module software versions inside are what matter.

6.2/6.3 is current for a NON-EA 2023, mid year refresh are like on 5.1.1 it feels like. Newer model years will be basically updated last because essentially they were released with “newer” updates then what the reset of us have.

These aren’t iPhones and they come off the assembly line with different software installed. For example, we have BC 1.2 and 1.3 depending on when they were built, no one else does.

Like I said people are thinking about this stuff wrong.
I'm not getting excited about BC 1.3 because I suspect that I won't be able to find a difference from what I have now. For all I know it could be the same as what I have now since there's no documentation on sync as to what version I have now and what I may have later.

So I missed this earlier, but on some vehicles 6.7.0 also updates the BCM (Body Control Module), which is significant because this is the first time I've ever seen a BCM OTA! That took a little while (3 yrs).

The BCM is important because it communicates with the 12V battery BMS while the car is off, and determines when it will wake up to recharge the 12V battery. I believe the minimum recharge threshold was increased from 30% to 40%. This will hopefully improve 12V stability for those vehicles running original BCM software. A step in the right direction. This means further 12V charging improvements can be easily deployed in the future, no longer being a taboo module to OTA.

This is the same BCM software I flashed back in February.

That’s how job 1s got virtual remote frunk release. At least those job 1s they gave received 6.7. No go for me today on that.

So is this OUTSIDE of PAAK? I know we can do it if we have PAAK enabled, I don't, it would be awesome to be able to do it regardless.
Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen an answer to this very good question yet - does 6.7.0 give you a frunk release button in FordPass outside of PAAK? I have a '22 GT, and I had a frunk button in FordPass when I set up PAAK right after I bought the car in May '22. But PAAK did not work well for me, so I deleted it. I installed 6.7.0 today, but do not see a frunk button in my non-PAAK Fordpass app. Thoughts?

No. Requires Bluetooth/PAAK enabled.

What was the build date on your car?

4/23. Window sticker says I have 1.2.
Yep. You have 1.2. You won’t see nearly as much difference when you get 1.3 as those of us with 1.0.

You’re within a couple of updates of the leaders who are EA.

Yes, has been nice reading about the PowerUp releases from the EA folks, then just wait about a week and bam there it downloads.

I received 6.8.0 and thought I would get 6.13.0 next but got the second 6.2.0, then 6.7.0.
