My front camera failed a few months back and my local ford dealer took an entire month to fix the problem. Over the ensuing months the sensor has failed intermittently while driving, causing an alert and disengagement and eventual recovery of all pre collision assist and cruise control.

Now it’s completely failed again. It alerts immediately upon startup and does not recover. Tomorrow I have to begin the repair process and call my dealer again. I’m at 1 year, 20k miles so im running out of warranty runway and I’m not thrilled about this. Something feels really wrong with the design of these sensors.

While I *think* (hope) a fix is finally coming, it has not yet arrived. You're joining a large and frustrated club. I would keep your eye on this thread https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-collision-assist-not-available-errors.18710/

...and wait until someone posts an actual fix that lasts before you get on the front camera fault/pre-collision assist merry-go-round with multiple dealer visits (and frustration). As of right now, the usual replace IPMA, reset/reprogram, blah blah on this issue will not be a permanent fix. I would wait until there is something new from Ford or a reported dealer repair that has been tested with good lasting results.

Let us know if Ford Engineering shares with you if they've come up with a new fix

Okay @Ford Motor Company things are looking good here - my local dealer applied a software fix for TSB 22-2295. They ran the IPC update app and reprogammed the IPMA, PSCM and CCM (whatever those are), and preformed IPMA alignment procedure. All fixed.

While they were at it, I got my second keyfob under TSB 22B10B

I'm now hopefully all set with early-adopter troubles with this car for a while. I've had the windshield, hvbjb recalls done, fixed the front camera twice, and I have my second key.

I m now having this problem. Started this morning and just keeps beeping with alerts. I can’t turn it off, driving me crazy.

is there any solution other than brining it in to a dealer?

Brought my car into Grieco Ford in Delray for the ā€œpre collision assist not availableā€ alert. I could not turn off the beeping and alert, the constant beeping is more than annoying.

I did not have an appointment and was there at 6:30 am. They open at 7

they tried cleaning the window, didn’t help. Maybe clearing some codes will help.

they are keeping the car and surprisingly gave me a loaner. I am grateful for that.

they said there was an open recall on the HVAC system but I thought that was handled OTA, 3.6.1?

anyway they have the car, should I be calling BEV team anyway?

I called the BEV team the other day and they said they can do nothing since the car is at the dealer. (Pre collision assist not availableā€ and the beeping just won’t stop)

I PMā€˜d Ford on another thread and they asked for more info. after a few messages I received a phone call from a case manager who has contacted the dealer.

although dealer hasn’t done anything yet, the case manager, Jessica, said they will have Ford engineers work with dealer if needed.

very positive so far. Hopefully they can fix the issue.

didn’t discuss gasoline issue with loaner at the moment. Will see how long it takes to fix the car.

I had the pre collision assist not available alert.

brought it in on Monday without an appointment. They gave me a loaner. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. I am 1200 miles from my home dealer .

by Wednesday they finally looked at the car and they tried updating it, with what I don’t know, it failed twice and I was told they ordered a new CC module.

I was a bit nervous as I thought, why need a new CCM if the new TSB 23-2040 supposedly solved the problem.

I took a look at Fordpass today and noticed 4.1.1 was installed and the alert for ā€œpre collision assist not availableā€ was gone.

got a call at 6:56 tonight from service manager that they think everything is fine but want to double check on Monday.

also Ford case manager was following up with dealer and would have ford engineers involved if needed.

if they solved the problem I am a very happy camper.

They replaced the CCM in the car. Seems like one of the clips to the beauty cover in the frunk is broken.

anyway, the warning and beeping are gone.

they downloaded HVAC software. I ended up with 4.1.1 and after driving home I received 4.1.2

all good so far
