I was getting off the highway and looked at the map on the screen, for a little too long, to decide which way to turn. Unbeknownst to me, the car in front came to an unexpected stop short of the stop sign. The next thing I knew my MME dove to the right and came to a very rapid stop. Without pre-collision assist I would be posting pictures of thousands of dollars of front end damage. Thank you Lord Ford.

Likewise, I was backing up too fast and was heading for a close encounter with a pole when the car came to an abrupt stop, saving me a repair bill, too ?

Two different technologies (Pre Collision Assist vs. Reverse Brake Assist), but both are great.

Superfluous and extraneous, two different words but both are applicable. :)

I hope to never have to test these but great to know they work! I was driving on cruise control the other day and traffic suddenly stopped in front of me and the MME started freaking out and flashing "BREAK", I was like "Why are you freaking out car, you're in control?" ? But yeah, love the safety features of the new vehicles.

Had mine kick in yesterday. Got caught up seeing a business shut down and tried to read the sign. Car saved me from my own curiosity

Last week my MME started beeping and the precollision alert popped up on my screen...only there was no car anywhere near me. That is the first time that has happened. It was weird.

Hmm, I had ACC on and was coming up on cars stopped at a light. A silver car was turning into the lane from across the street. I waited for as long as I was comfortable for Sheeba to see the turning car which was caught perpendicular (doors facing me) but the other car icon never popped up so I hit the brakes.

I vaguely remember some urban legend about silver cars messing with radar. Once the car turned all the way into the lane, Sheeba picked it up. I remember saying out loud as we were headed into the side of the other car, "You really don't see that?" ?

Had a similar experience on the highway last week with (I assume) evasive steering assist. Was in the center lane, moved to the outside to pass a rig, mirror check / shoulder check / BLIS check, all clear - started to move back over to the centre lane and while looking straight ahead again the Mach-E decided it was best to steer back to the left. Seems as I started looking forward another vehicle wanted to occupy the same space I was in, and came over from the slow lane.

Very happy with that - probably saved a collision as well.
