I'm at day 103 of my wait for the "price protection" refund.

Did you have to bug them a lot? It's been 11 mos for me no check yet. I bet they just pocketed it long ago.At long last, the $2000 price protection refund check from the dealer arrived. Time between purchase and reconciliation with the dealer was 94 days. The dealer slow action added 17 days. Total time between purchase of the MME and receipt of the overcharge check was 111 days. (I'd waited 52 weeks for the MME, ordered 12/7/22, to be delivered.) I think I'll now try to get a $155 refund from the State on the sales tax assessed on the $2000 overcharge, but the long saga of acquiring the Ford Mustang Mach e has concluded for me.
It was a factor in my deciding to buy the MME and I'd discussed it with the dealer at the time of purchase. I inquired every 3-4 weeks. I eventually asked for a referral to someone in Ford so as to pursue the matter. To this last, they told me that Ford had paid them the refund about 10 days earlier and then it took the dealer another week to FedEx the check.
No, not Ford. I have always dealt with the dealership folks (Autonation Ford Tustin). That is, the dealership is not Ford. I frequently did use Ford chat for the 52 weeks of waiting for delivery but got little info and often was referred back to the dealer. After the purchase, while waiting for the refund, I tried Ford chat again (because dealer was saying the wait was entirely Ford's doing) and was again referred back to the dealer. Because Farley reorganized Ford, splitting into ICE and EV divisions, resulting in some change to chiefs, I did not determine "who" was the appropriate Ford executive to reach out to. Hence the question I asked of the General Sales Manager at the dealership. (I was addressing him because he is the one who assured me at the time of the sale the refund check would be sent to me by the dealer just a soon as Ford paid them.) In retrospect, I've concluded that Ford is responsible for 52 weeks of waiting for MME delivery, and another 13 weeks of waiting for the price protection refund to the dealer, but the dealer added the 2.5 weeks of waiting to the check's delivery to me. In your case, I too would be suspicious that the dealer has failed to forward the refund check to you.

I sure did, Socalsp3 . I contacted them half a dozen times with no luck. I hate being "that guy" but I finally had to inform them I was going to report to the BBB and AG. It worked--I got my check within a few days after that. Supposedly they had "just" gotten the money from Ford that same week.
