There is a priority code for every order; mine says 19! Does anyone know what these codes mean? I have heard people talking about 10. Dont know if there are any other numbers in that system.
Talking to Ford, they said Dealer will be able to find a lot more with that code on when the order will be scheduled! And my dealer has absolutely no clue..
Any help here?

It's the priority you have within your dealer's orders. Whoever at your dealer told you they are clueless is clearly not very knowledgeable.

Thanks. Not sure why I have not seen any other numbers beyond 19 and 10 in this forum. Will look up again. Also, Ford mentioned that Dealers can find more about the orders through this priority code - that would mean they have access to more info? Yeah, clearly my dealer is clueless or not too helpful !

There is no more info. 10 is higher than 19.

Thanks. Now I see many older posts on this topic.
Apologies to all for starting new thread. No need to add any more info here. Thanks.

Here is what I've read: 10 is the highest priority the dealer can assign to your order and 19 is the default. Talk to the dealer about asking their Ford coordinator about assigning the higher priority.

Orders default to 19 and that is usually what is displayed in the Order Preview sheet most people are given. The Sales Manager, at least at my dealership, changes priority codes after they are submitted. Mine is currently 13. I was the fourth customer order in their system at the time. The person at 10 was scheduled for production a week or so ago, but since there have been no more orders she hasn't bumped everybody up one. Every dealership is different in how they do it.

Mine went straight to a 10 when I ordered online and the dealer accepted it. But, this may be unusual as I have ordered from a top notch dealer here in Virginia Beach and not all dealers are this good!

The inventory manager at my dealer moved my Priority Code to 10 before they submitted it to Ford. They're one of the largest volume Ford dealers on the West Coast, so perhaps I'll see a production date soon!

Thanks for all the comments. Can the dealer change priority code during this 'waiting' period or is it done at the time of the order only?

Again, my understanding is that the only meaning it has is within a dealer's priority, i.e. a 10 from dealer ABC is higher than a 13. But, between dealers, i.e. at the factory, it's meaningless.

Also if the dealer has all the custom orders at the same priority code either 10 or 19 it really has no effect. A good dealer will manage the priority codes so that their oldest order is at 10, the next at 11 and so on.

My priority number was 10 then recently got changed to 1 and I received a build date a short time later.
