21 GTPE Just got this and trash update turned on propulsion sound messed up all my presets fm/am and my sirus presets. It’s official Ford has the dumbest engineers programming this car.

oh, and now I get to drive mode, not available and I can’t click on any of the drive modes until I back out and come back in. I know it’s going to engage since I does regen a little compared to very little with whisper.

The drive mode not available bug has been around for a while... Yes, presets got messed up but this update will now prevent it from, hopefully, ever happening again.

What is with people and their anger over propolusion sound being turned on? I get everything else, but that is such a simple setting to revert back.

Funny, I got the update today and for the first time my presets disappeared. Was fine in the previous updates ?. Just feed back @Ford Motor Company

and the brake Coach was turned on again !

Do these folks do any testing before release ??

No anger about it just surprise and comment. I was driving and thought something was wrong until I figured out the sound was on. I think it is a stupid thing to have in an electric car in the first place, but to each his own of course! As soon as I was off the highway I turned it off.

No anger here. I just reported that it got turned on. ?? The illogic around my radio preset getting borked is actually funny to me since it's never happened to me before and this update is supposed to fix that. ??

Propulsion sound was on for second time in 18 months, 1st time it didn’t need an update, now it did. Is that progress?

all satellite radio presets were gone although they still had the favorite star next to them.

My 2021 job 1 just got it. Don’t know about the presets since we don’t use them. I did get drunk on the app and a new strange thing on the drivers display saying ‘Brightness.”

Update on mine now that dinner is over and I backed it out of the garage. Propulsion sound was on, it’s now off again. Radio presets all randomized, had to set them again. But, if you hit the little multi-person icon in the upper right, you can then find a list of your favorite stations for reprogramming, no need to try to remember them.

Maybe it’s a generational thing (or management pushing deadlines), but I’ve always had it drummed into my head during 40 years of software development is that you never, ever lose the users data. Be it documents or settings or whatever. That was rule #1. It’s not yours to play with or delete. IT DOESN’T BELONG TO YOU. To change settings like this is bush league programming.

BTW - I think this update did fix the radio reset issue because 5.1.1 didn't mess with anything. Time will tell...

If you’re part of early access you can email them your feedback. If not, the voice memo feature would work.

All that matters is that the update did not bork the preset for the local contemporary Hawaiian music station for yesterday morning’s trip to the Vet with the princess. Because that’s what the forum avatar cat likes to listen to and you don’t want to even slightly inconvenience a princess because reasons.

I actually always found the resets amusing as it reset things to the local NPR station, which is what I listen to much of the time anyway. Except when the princess is riding along (unwillingly I might add).

It does seem particularly ironic that the update to preserve radio presets during updates killed most people's radio presets.
