Just thinking about it, this must have been more than a GWM update. The GWM updates in the past have always been rolling updates because it’s an A/B module. This one was an inhibit update, so there must have been other modules.
This OTA is door latch modules only, not GWM.

Ahhh ok. Missed your post earlier. Is this the first OTA update for the door modules? I know there was a CSP for them back in 2021, but that never came OTA.

Yes, this is the first door latch OTA. And probably the last.

I got that one too, but mostly stopped using PAAK after a year of unreliability and completely after they gave us the second FOB - so I’ll never know. This was such a pain in the butt for such a long time. Why the heck is it taking them this long to make improvements???

Lots of chatter here about getting the update, and what it may mean for further updates, but precious little about how/if the update improved anything on your vehicle. [/rantoff]

Along those lines, I have found a marked improvement in using PAAK. Since the update I have not been getting the warning of "No Key Detected" while backing out of my driveway (using PAAK). I am also having much better luck in re-starting the vehicle after a short stop/exit and not having PAAK fail to work and requesting that I enter my passcode. So congrats to Ford if they've solved these issues. I will have increased faith in using PAAK under all circumstances.

Now...if only I could get my phone to connect when approaching the car more quickly (even when booting the app before arriving) so that I am not having to wait to unlock the doors. This is embarassing, at the least, and annoys the bejeebers out of my (waiting to get in) wife! Please Ford, improve on this and lessen the chippy discussions with my SO (sadly, only one of many SO chippy discussions :)!)

Lastly, I would love a feature that, should a driver be using PAAK, a little reminder would pop up to take the phone with me after shutting off the car . I've left it behind in the charging space a couple of times and fear that someday someone will hop in an drive away!
I got “ no key detected” several times since the update ?

I made that post nearly a week ago...I have long since re entered them.
There are known issues with stuff not coming back after the first reboot after an update, but then it works after the second time. My ears always perk up when I hear these reports.

Updates are extremely complicated and have a lot more moving parts (electronically) than you can imagine.
