Two years ago I bought a Lightning fob so I would have the frunk release button, and it worked fine. Last July, my backpack got stolen while I was on vacation, and my keys were in the backpack. I paid the dealer to rekey the car fobs (I still had the two originals) so the thief couldn't come take the car. At the same time, the dealer ordered me a replacement key fob (Lightning), and it just arrived. (Complete story: I ordered the Lightning key, dealer couldn't get one but did get a 2025 MME key. That didn't work, and I took it back today. They replaced it with a Lightning key which also doesn't work.)

When I do the programming process, I get the message "Key Program successful", but the new fob doesn't do anything. Any suggestions?

I got a lightning key fob from USA today - to NZ. Tried to program it and got the same result. Says "key programming successful" but as soon as I try it, nothing. No doors, no car start, zero result.

It appears to be a 902MHz to 315MHz compatibility issue. Essentially, wrong key, wrong frequency. Will never work. I do like my $NZ250 light paper weight though.....
