Problems after last power up

Was just curious if anyone else had noticed these issues which presented themselves on my Mach E in late November. First it no longer unlocks on approach with my key nor my phone, I have to hit the unlock button from either FOB. Second my Mach e now applies the parking brake when I stop in one pedal driving mode which has caused some very frustrated people behind me at red lights as I fumble to get it to release. I searched high in low in the settings and can find nothing which would enable or disable this. Any thoughts or has anyone else had a similar experience?

How long have you had your Mach-E? Probably need to do some updates to the effected modules.

I noticed a trend of my car "sleeping" and being completely unresponsive to the proximity of my key fob, and no welcome puddle lights several times. As you mentioned it would only unlock when using the key fob unlock button.

I first started noticing this when it started to get cold, and having now seen it happen about 7 or 8 times after that I can acknowledge that it was only when temps were near freezing out, and it is likely some sort of "sleep mode" to preserve battery when not plugged in and it is parked in the cold.

When the 1.7.1 Power Up happened to my car....it reset the Auto Hold feature. Previously I had it turned off and update re-enabled it. I had to go back into my menu and disable that feature. Could that be causing your brake holding symptom from a stop light?

Fobs have been great for me. No issues at all.

My car has never unlocked without me hitting the circle button on the door pillar. The welcome lights come on but it’s still locked. (I don’t carry a fob.)

The parking brake should release automatically when you press on the accelerator pedal. I’ve only had it set by itself when my car tried to quickly rock backwards after putting it into Park. I’ve since learned to release the brake pedal slowly after shifting into Park. (I always use 1PD, except for driving on freeways).

Is it the parking brake or the auto hold when you stop? As previously mentioned there is a setting for Auto hold which might have been reset after the update.

Also I think there is a setting for unlocking in approach, so if that reset, maybe that is what happened.

Otherwise, it doesn't sound good and you might need a dealer to reprogram some modules.
