Thanks. I'll ask the dealer if they have a way to disable it. I know it's irrational, but it just irks me.

I have a whole list of things this like this that I don't want my car to do.
If I turn the heat all the way up in my F150, it redirects all air to the defrosters and turns the fan on high...
Had a Honda that would re-lock itself after 10 seconds if no doors were opened. On a rainy day, I hit the unlock button from the kitchen, picked up a couple suitcases, and by the time I got to the car it had locked itself. I'm out in the rain holding suitcases.....

You can disable it within settings I believe. In fact I want to say I purposefully turned it on, but I could be mistaken. I will try to remember to look again tonight.

I was wrong - I don't see a configurable setting for the Autolock feature unfortunately. Only the Auto-Unlock is configurable it seems.

So back to the puddle lights...are we clear on when they show vs dont, or how to make them show? I have an FE and have yet to see my puddle lights! My I-Pace used to show them everytime I unlocked the car. I'm still confused with the MME

If you have the car set to unlock on approach, when do the mirrors unfold? When it unlocks or when you open a door?

The mirrors unfold when you open a door (actually, when you press the button to open the door).

The car doesn't unlock until I press the door release button. Once I do that it unlocks and the mirrors unfold.

(At least this is how I remember it. I will test this evening to see exactly what happens.)

I have finally observed puddle lamps for second time. I was approachjng car in a parking lot and then got puddle lamps exactly what you described. I don’t get in my garage. Not a big deal was just curious when starting this thread

The doors lock for your safety. If you're sitting at a light, anyone can come up to the vehicle and open your door. Ever hear of car-jacking?
