Crystal Soul Red I think it is. Lovely colour, but expensive to buy and apparently a complete pain to match when making repairs.

I was about ready to look at this paint they call frozen pure on the BMW. But the Care you have to put into cleaning the car and if it ever had to be matched, I heard it was at the point where a whole paint job would have to happen unlike when I had my Harley Davidson in the matte Black you could basically wipe it down with WD-40 lol and the $7000 option for that frozen pure ain’t worth the headache but it does look good in the showroom that thing just looks incredible with that flat silver

Back when I had my Miata, it was a year 2000 Special Edition. Beautiful car. The SE color that year was this amazing reddish/burgundy/purple called Mahogany Mica Metallic.

As far as that Mazda red, had two different cars with iterations of it. First was a 17 6 Sedan, was a 3 layer paint, of course first week I get side swiped in a garage. Body shop did an excellent job matching....next was a CX-9 with a 6 layer/step paint. Needed body work on the CX-9....body shop could not get it right after weeks and multiple tries. Told me it was the hardest paint color they ever worked with. This was a decent size shop that has been around a while. They had to fly a guy in from 3M to get it done.

I bought both largely based upon the color (reminds me of Virgin Atlantic's red paint). Lots and lots of compliments in parking lots and gas stations on the color. If Mazda had better ADAS I'd still be driving one, probably the CX9 PHEV.

Agree because it is flat and has no depth.

Model Year 2026 Mach-E will include new Race Red color. Here's some first official (digital) views of it.

Ford should have led with this red. I'll look awesome on GTs and Rallys.

Yep, hate flat reds. Torch Red was the GM corvette flat red. That one sucked too and by far the most popular....lol

I used to have a Tsukuba Red hyundai genesis coupe. It was a super bright red that popped orange in the right lighting. Couldn't miss it in a parking lot. Beautiful car.

I still like the original red that came on the Mach E that I had on my 21 and now have on my 23 GT, even though the tail gate didn't quite match the rest of the red on either car, assuming this has something to do with application to differing materials on the panels, or the tinted clear coat.

I have a hard time appreciating Race Red on any car, even the Mustang Coupe/Convertible. It's a decent color in its own right, but when there are so many other incredible colors available on other vehicles, this seems like an attempt to throw a new color at people (for an upcharge) instead of making substantial improvements to the vehicle.

Rapid Red was such a good color, and I was very disappointed when they discontinued it for 2025. My Black 2025 looks great when it's clean, but not so much at other times. Plus, it's not very interesting. Cyber Orange was a perfect color for the Mach-E GT.

Back to red, though, I agree that Mazda's deep red that they put on the CX-5 and other vehicles was a color you could lose yourself in. I'm not sure if it would look right on the Mach-E, but it is a color worth paying extra for.

At a certain point, maybe they could just assume that people are going to wrap them and put a basic non-metallic paint on the car for a $495 discount? Or maybe throw a bone to dealerships by offering a dealer-installed wrap option on the sticker and you can choose the wrap you want applied before delivery.
