I've received a powertrain malfunction warning 3 times in the last 3 months. Each incident was oddly about a month apart. I've taken my car to the dealership a couple of times but both times they told me there's no error codes showing for them.

Each time I've gotten the powertrain malfunction, it's been a hot day and my car has been outside all day while I'm at work. It always happens when I'm switching gears from Reverse to Drive. When I switch from Reverse to Drive, the car will start to move and then suddenly stop and show a whole bunch of errors and say "Service Vehicle Soon"

Restarting the car allows me to drive it again, and the wrench icon as well as the FordPass warning eventually disappear on their own after a couple of hours.

What's going on here? Is it heat related? Is it the GSM? All three times this happened, it's the exact same situation.

Well, you have TON of lost communication codes, something is causing a massive disruption on the networks. It's possible this is related to low 12V battery, have you gotten any messages about high key off drain or service 12V battery?

Otherwise it's possible it's just a software glitch. I see you have a gear shift module software update available. I'd also recommend getting the BCM/GFM updated to help with 12V support.

I've never had any messages about the 12V battery. My daily commute is an hour long drive so it should be long enough to charge the 12V battery.

I guess it might be worth hopping over to the dealership again to get those modules updated?

I have had a similar experience. My powertrain error occurred right after the SRS errors that were mention on another thread. Then there was an update, but it didn't resolve the powertain error. This error does go on and off. My 2021 Mach-e Premium is with the dealer now. I will keep this forum updated.
