Just curious if this is a common adjustment to the range estimate.
I routinely drove to the same destination (M, W & F) 33 miles via interstate highway with 70 speed limit for 3 months last summer.
Now when I enter a destination in Navigation that is over ~30 miles and not necessarily to the previously noted destination, the display prompt says - Range decreased for known destination.
I appreciate the conservative estimate adjustment but it doesn't seem to matter how I drive (I've experimented with going the speed limit and slower with no differences noted) it now typically reduces the estimated range by ~30 miles.
Occasionally it will similarly decrease the range when not using the navigation.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there anyway to reset likely what are now stored values in one of the on board data tables.
Thanks

It’s supposedly based on environmental conditions. Nothing is stored route-wise. It does remember your driving habits. You can reset that in settings. “Reset EV driving history” or something similar.

It looks at the speed limits on the roads and your historic kWh/mi when you travel that speed.
You can reset the data from the settings screen, but it won’t affect your actual range - just the estimate.
You can look at the Trips app to see how power is being consumed and your average miles per kWh. You can use that to estimate range as well.

I am also getting a similar message a couple of times, but it is because of the route. These were routes I never traveled before as I was vacationing in a warmer climate. In one case after I charged the navigation asked if I wanted chargers added to the route and I declined to see what would happen. The range decreased more slowly than the distance to the next charger. It went from about a 30 mile shortfall to about the 30 mile buffer shown after I charged.

I spent over a week in warmer temperatures but it seemed like the GOM and navigation acted like the car was still home in colder New England. The Ford Navigation would sometimes choose one more charger for a route than ABRP. I tried out ABRP using live data and it was more accurate in the range calculations.

It should let ok also at the slope of the road and account for inclines declines on n elevation and how that affects range. There is a 20 mile strip from Baker, CA to Primm, NV that burns through around 30% of battery charge at posted speed, resulting in having to go back to baker and charging to 85% to arrive in Las Vegas with about 10% left, or risking running out of charge before arriving in vegas. When I charged to 80%, I almost didn’t make it. When I charged to 85% I had a little distance to spare.
It’s crazy what a difference that 5% makes when going up a steep incline at 75Mph

Yes that’s called intelligent range and it’s adjusting your range based on weather, terrain, speed limits on roads, and your driving habits and speed.

I’ve also seen range go up after entering a destination if it’s a slower route.

It's called winter. Lower temperatures result in reduced range. The estimate is including this in the calculation. It will change back when weather warms up.

I understand the range adjustment due to the colder winter weather; however, the navigation triggered reduced estimated range started this past summer shortly after my M W F trips started in late May.

Do you have an OBD2 reader and Car Scanner app? If so, check instantaneous power with and without navigation.

No I don't.
What is a good OBD2 reader?
Any specific car scanner app (android)?
Thanks
