Rapid Red Premium Cost

Thats the best answer. That and ALL Fords with Rapid Red, (formally Ruby Red, but with less metallic shine) had an additional cost for it. If I get my Mach E it will be the fifth Ford product I had with Ruby Red...sorry Rapid Red.

I think Ruby Red was a touch darker.

I will say my2108 white metallic F150 cost more for the paint, the collision shop that repaired the front bumper said it's just an additional step as well as paint itself.

You can see the difference here, auto manufacturers are strictly monitored on there paint emissions, they have to use Low VOC content and the more components of a coating, naturally higher cost.

"Tinted Clearcoat" and "Tricoat" both add costs. They add additional steps to the painting process that other colors do not require. Ford is pretty fair with their paint pricing structure, unlike some other car companies who charge extra for anything beyond one standard color.
