Just got rear ended yesterday. Our pictures look very similar...mine might be a little worse??? I got into the Ford Dealer on Thursday for an estimate of repairs, but I'm thinking $10K.

Was the diminished value claim easy to fill out and how much did you ask for?

Just rolled over 1200 miles on my new Premium about a month old and got rear ended stopping for a car turning left on a 2 lane road. I was the 3rd vehicle back and the guy behind me didn't notice us stopping in time. The Mach E survived well. Still driving it with just a Parking Sensor error each start up.

what a crying shame, and at such a low mileage.

Hope the neck & back’s OK and you get car sorted quickly & painlessly.

Stangy seems to have stood up to it well, though.

It was quite a direct impact, about 30% overlap.

Can see where end of Nissan’s bumper reinforcer cut Stangy’s plastic cover arrowed in view attached.

Always surprising that our plastic skinned tailgates stand up to impacts so well, you can see where the ridge left its mark across right side of Nissan’s bonnet, a great “fingerprint” of contact.

Well the fun starts this week on having the car repaired, dealing with insurance and getting our necks/backs back to normal. Given what happened to us before might take 3 months. One thing we are both happy about is the Mach E seems like a very safe car when you get in an accident.

So Sorry, I've been lax on checking the site. The insurance agent was super easy to deal with on the value, I researched it some, through out an amount and they agreed, but it's going to come down to the company it's going through and what you can show. I found some equation online that I used, and wish I'd asked for more since this is an EV and the equation was more geared towards ICE vehicles. It seems the value is diminished even more for an EV since everyone is now concerned about the batteries. I'd research equations, round up. I'd be surprised if you get out of this one with less than $15k.

Just remember to get the diminished value claim from their insurance.
Thank you again for this suggestion. Never would have thought it, and I did get some diminished value out of it after I asked. Not sure I got as much as I could have, but not all that concerned about it. It did help to lessen the blow of the whole thing.
