Dealer did my recall yesterday. Ford website and FordPass still say incomplete.Does the ford site still show your recall status as incomplete after you get the OTA update or the dealer has updated the recall updates
We donāt yet know if it will ever clear after a DIY update with FDRS.I did mine over the weekend and it still says there is a recall on the car, even though FDRS shows no module updates available.
Why wouldn't it? It's a software fix, so if their database shows the software modules have been updated, it ought to clear. We donāt yet know if it will ever clear after a DIY update with FDRS.
Yes, we all think it should. But there has been no evidence yet that it does. I updated mine about a month ago, and it still hasn't cleared. Why wouldn't it? It's a software fix, so if their database shows the software modules have been updated, it ought to clear.
The OTA cleared it for me. Obviously, thereās something else that needs to be done that canāt be done by an āoutsiderā in FDRS. Hopefully, the flag gets flipped soon (via an OTA attempt?).Yes, we all think it should. But there has been no evidence yet that it does. The strategy with OTA updates for modules that are already up to date seems to have changed at some point. Early on, the OTA would still try to install, but would fail if the module was already up to date. But for a while now, OTAs don't even queue for modules that have already been updated (which is better in general). Ford obviously has the ability to check their database and clear the recall flag on all cars that have the correct versions installed, but who knows when they'll get around to that (if ever). The OTA cleared it for me.
