Red battery on Ford Pass

Anyone know why I'm suddenly seeing a red battery outline in Ford Pass??

My working theory is that it turns red when the charge timing settings will not allow it to fully charge in the duration the settings allow.

Not sure if that's it, because I live in a condo without access to an at home charger, and I charge exclusively at public charging stations. I've also never configured a charge schedule and it's currently set to manual charging in the Ford Pass app.

Based on how this app seems to work, my money is on "has no meaning at all and will go away just as suddenly as it appeared"

Tldr: probably just a bug

I don't have charging schedules either, but I do have a target charge percentage set for my Home address. I still get random "Vehicle will charge outside preferred charging times", and I also saw the red battery in Ford Pass yesterday. I think they're related, but obviously seems a bit broken...

Yeah it just does it randomly for me. I had the whole battery go red at 82% a while back lol

I tried searching the Ford Pass app Help section, but that came up empty.

It really would be nice to have some sort of documentation on the app that is specific to our vehicle that we can reference about this stuff.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse here, but I honestly do think it's a visual bug. Being a developer myself I can tell you that's absolutely a thing. My best guess is that it's showing the wrong image asset. You're probably seeing part of what is supposed to be the "dead battery" image.

Also just as a funny side note, I was wondering if it is legit what it could possibly mean, because it's so subtle. And then I realized there's no way it's on purpose. There's nothing subtle in this app. It hits you over the head with a club for EVERYTHING.

Take Loading for example - a giant loading circle takes over the whole screen every time you touch anything.

No subtlety or finesse at all ?
