I'm sad to see the issues some of you are having.

It's true that any manufacturer will make some imperfect cars. Completely support and understand those who reject delivery for whatever reason.

No one makes every car perfectly. Not Tesla (my choice and seemingly this forum's nemesis), Lexus, Audi, BMW, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lambo, Ferrari, McLaren, etc.

Find something you like and enjoy it for its positive aspects that appeal most to you. If not the Mach-E and not Tesla (I have a referral code if you want...), more EVs are coming in the next few years for you to choose from.

And if those other manufacturers hear your demand for perfect cars, maybe they'll focus more on building quality in instead of trying to inspect it in.
Early on, Ford said they were calling back cars for quality control. What were they focused on. Certainly not misaligned pano roof or buzzy dash displays.

Great mystery!

I am glad I am waiting on the GT with a steel roof. I hate these glass roofs.
I reserved a GT not because I hate the glass roof per se. I wanted a metal roof because I just prefer a solid sheet above me and it's more than likely a little lighter than the glass.

Sorry to hear that the OP's dealer sold the car without offering him something in the way of assurancces to repair the defects.

Ok... So I heard from the fleet dept. at Ken Grody Ford, and they will make this situation right for me! Dearborn was made completely aware of my concerns! Dealer can reorder the same configuration for me and Ford may "prioritize" the build date. Or, I can wait much longer and reserve a GT, then convert to an order. Dearborn may also "prioritize" my GT reservation. Not fully sure. Dealer is fully refunding my premium order deposit. Bottom line, Dearborn and dealers have a huge vested interest in this vehicle and want all good press for it!

I'm definitely getting a MME still... Not a big fan of the pano roof but like the space gray/black interior that you can't get in the GT. But want an all-steel roof!

I used to have an MKZ with one of the retracting panoramic roofs and honestly, I never gave it a thought. If you think about it, the roof on that car was a lot more complicated than the roofs on the Mustang Mach E because it had all the mechanics to move, yet it had to provide a tight seal when closed. No wind noise or anything from it. Based on the MKZ, I’m surprised the Mustang Mach E roof is a concern at all.

I suggest buying another when you are satisfied with the build. I love mine , and have had no issues with build or performance.

Super! That's really good to hear. Yes, I will be working with my dealer on ordering my *exact* same configuration again. I have faith that any issue we have (if any) will be satisfactorily addressed. We've already made significant electrical upgrades to our home including 2, new NEMA 14-50 outlets -- 1 outside (hidden) / 1 in garage... main house panel & meter upgraded, new sub-metering EV panel (city rebates) & new electrical drop from city pole! Still waiting on GRIZZL-E Smart chargers from Canada.

I'm going to parrot this in that my car build is immaculate. And I'm obsessively picky about panel gaps and such. I have zero buzz from my info screen. I do not believe this is a widespread issue. I'm not discounting the symptoms other owners are having and I would be very unhappy if I had the same. Just saying for anyone looking at the MME, I feel many of these issues will not be present in current to later builds.

One thing that gets forgotten is that this forum is a microcosm of the wider MME world. It will amplify a fairly minor/isolated issue pretty rapidly. I am looking forward to getting my MME.

Hopefully the MME community doesn't create an inspection checklist like the Tesla community. Once there's a perceived quality issue, it'll never go away. Most of the 2020 and 2021 Models have little or no issues but because of the stigma, people take a 5+ page checklist with them.

There's a pretty long checklist posted elsewhere on this site... ;)

I honestly think the dealer guy was just clueless and throwing none sense out. But yeah.
