I have my remote start setting for the seats and steering wheel set to auto, and for the climate control I use last settings. In cold weather I've noticed that the seat heater always comes on at the highest level (assuming it hits the temp threshold to actually come on) regardless of the outside temp. In other words, it's either all or nothing. Since the seats get too hot for me at that highest setting I limit the time to 5 min (in contrast to summer when I let the remote start go for 10-15 min to adequately cool things down). Is there any way to change the level of seat heating for remote starting other than to turn the seat heater on to the lowest level before I leave the car, and change the setting from auto to last settings?

Was going to ask the exact same question, you beat me to it. I also would like to use the last setting as that is where I also have it set, but always comes on as high seat heat. Tried turning them off auto but then you get nothing. I was hoping some smart boy would enlighten me, nice to know I'm not alone!

I will say that since they did an OTA update to improve the heating and since we are following their recommendations, running on auto and such, starting our second winter it is doing a great job at keeping us comfortable. So far haven't been below zero so we'll see when the real winter gets here. About time to switch out my bald as a baby's behind cracked up Pirelli tires with 17500 miles on them that weren't supposed to be used under 45 degrees but yet were delivered to Mn in January

Not sure how mine is operating differently, but I have my seat set to Auto and my temperature set to "Medium" (whatever that is - it's comfortable when I get in). Seat heat when I remote start or leave on departure schedule is always still on Auto. The HVAC comes on as necessary to bring the car's cabin to "Medium" temperature. ?‍♂?

Ok but what level does your seat heater come on when you’ve remote started? That’s the issue here. Mine always is at the highest.

When I have remote started it is on Auto. If it is already warm, the car doesn’t turn it on. If it’s cold and I didn’t give enough time, sometimes it’s not warm enough. Not a bog deal here, but it might be in places where it really does get cold. ??

Not sure what you mean by "it is on Auto." The seat heaters have 4 possible settings: Off, low (one bar illuminated under the image of the seat on the bottom left of the IPC), medium (two bars), and high (three bars). When you remote start, and get into your car, how many bars does the seat icon have under it?

It has 5 settings (including off).

Thanks, I stand corrected! I actually never noticed the auto part before, I saw the three bars under the seat icon and just figured I had to select one of those. I guess that's what @HuntingPudel meant when he said it was on auto when he remote started.

I realize I also was not entirely accurate when I asked in my first post "Is there any way to change the level of seat heating for remote starting other than to turn the seat heater on to the lowest level before I leave the car, and change the setting from auto to last settings?" There is no 'last settings' for the seat heater, only auto or off. But the first part of my question still stands--is there any way to change the level of the seat heater when remote starting?
