Replaced the 12V battery this weekend.

Fun little project for Saturday, replacing my 12V battery. Couldn't get the local dealer to respond on price, so ordered one from Rock Auto Parts. Good price and fast shipping. Decided to drill access holes for the jump points at the same time. Had a very nice gentleman 3D print me custom covers with a pony on them. The BMS process went smoothly to get the information from the new battery. I noticed when removing the bottom FRUNK screws that they had been seated in silicone, so put new silicone in when I reassembled.

We replaced ours about a month ago.... purchased new battery from Rock Auto.

You can return the old battery to Advanced Auto for a 10$ store credit even if you didnt buy it from them.

I went to the dealer to get mine replaced last month as my current one is almost 3 years old. They said the state of health was so good they wouldn't do it under warrantee and recommended I didn't replace it. So I may take the DYI route.

It's not necessary to remove the frunk to replace the battery.

some of those lines are coolant lines for the hvb, depending on the year, it will have one or two coolant tanks for the hvb. This is an excellent video about the HVB, I learned tons from this in terms of the different coolant lines etc.
I know it's not the 12v but it's good to learn about the hvb.

I had my 12v changed at the dealership. It was almost 4 years old and didn’t wan to wait until it died before replacing it.

Looks great! I ordered a battery at parts.ford.com and picked it up at a nearby dealer for $117 + $18 core fee. It wasn't necessary to remove the frunk in my 2021 model and the job took me about an hour, including finding the necessary sockets, moving the structural bar on top, doing the HVB disconnect and BMS reset. My dealer wanted $300+ for a job that should take them about 30 minutes. This tread and YouTube videos were very helpful.

I got online for Ford Parts and was told the nearest parts dealer was 50 miles away. I have mine serviced by a Lincoln Mercury dealer in my town. Not sure why they didn't show up as a source for parts. I texted their service dept. to see if they could order it and they never responded .
