My Mustang chipped a tooth and now is missing one of its louver panels on the front air control. Do I really have to purchase the entire bumper cover assembly to fix this? Or am I not looking in the right place for the part? I don’t have a 3-D printer, but buying one would be cheaper than buying the full cover.

Not sure about how Ford sells them, but have you checked any online auto wreckers? ?‍♂?

This happened on my 2021 one broken piece and the entire front panel needed replacement. Even if you find a louver, and there isn't any damage to the pieces that the louver snaps into, the entire front panel must be removed to replace to broken piece.

:(

Sigh. We’ll probably just leave it, then.

Some local libraries have a 3d printer, or you can get it printed online through a service. Won't match 100%. A wrecker would be a potential option, or eBay - these are easy to pop out from the front. You don't need to remove the whole panel or bumper. Dorman looks to make a whole assembly for $250.

I just had to essentially re-assemble mine, all from the front.

Finally fixed it. Had the part printed and installed it in just a few minutes.

I thought I had referenced the thread I followed. The link is in comment #14. The labels for the parts are from the POV of someone looking at the front of the Mustang.

Thanks, though I'm not seeing it in that thread either. Maybe some posts were deleted? Post #14 only has screenshots of the parts, and I don't see anything else useful. https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...-grill-shutter-vane-louver.54942/post-1104827

Edit: Ah, I found it here https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...ive-grill-shutter-protector.15212/post-567839

I printed one awhile back, its been sitting next to my spare tire in case I need it. Glad to see you popped it in! If that easy to put in maybe I will just do them all in an accent color!
I had to cut the tab on the side with only one tab by about 1/8".

It was a lot easier to install with the AC going and the louvers Open.

Warming the piece with a hair dryer briefly helps it bend a little without breaking. But I printed it in PLA, which has a fairly low melting temperature, so don't overheat it.

But I printed it in PLA
Mine is in PLA, but I also have a bunch of PETG which is supposed to handle outside temps better. Although I re-did all of my Deck post caps with a mix of PLA and PETG, all are holding up after a full year and temps between -5 and 100. So PLA doing well outside.
