Does anyone know how the round plastic anchors that the rubber floor mats clip onto are adhered to the floor pan? Ours came loose recently, causing the rubber mats to slide all over the place and I can't figure out to re-attach them. The hole in the carpet isn't big enough to look underneath. Are they fixed with an adhesive or is there a mechanical fixture of some kind?

Is it the base that came loose or did you lose the push pin part?

The plastic anchor (male side) bases that come through the carpet are what came loose from the floor pans. The female side is on the floor mat itself. Sorry I don't have pics to hand. Wife has the car at work.

This can happen when you don't reach in and hold the carpet down while you remove the mat, with fingers on the connector.

The male part is attached to the floor carpeting. And that attchment is not reliable at all. It is not connected to the hard floor and it sucks

Not any help on this one, yet... Have same exact issue. In fact, mine no longer stays locked in on the outside anchor whereas you have to be very careful when getting in (Not to slide it all the way forward.). Was "Hoping" someone else may have resolved the issue but doesnt appear many have same issue. Agree that removing it without putting your fingers under it first is probably the issue. Being that I purchased used... Well, is what it is for now.

Have the same issue - dealership suggested they'd put some adhesive underneath to keep it down but that sounded a bit kludgey and never took them up on it. But it doesn't sit perfectly flat anymore.

Really? So is there any way to either re-attach them to the carpet or adhere them to the floor? They're going to tear the hell out of the carpet and the mats the way they are now.

There's a thing call "Shoe Goo" it's a strong adhesive and could well work to reglue the disks down.

My dealership provided me with complimentary ford Mach e mats front back and rear. All snap perfectly

If the vehicle is still on bamper-to-bamper then you can bring it to the dealership. They should replace the whole carpeting with those pins attached. There is no other good way to fix it nicely
