Will wait for Ford to comment. Regardless the Mustang Mach-E is likely not being updated unless they transfer the name to the new UEV platform Ford is currently developing. I love this car but without any future plans I’m considering a Volvo EX60 or Model YL (if Elon leaves). Shame as I love this Ford. Who knows, I may just buy out the lease and keep it as a classic EV into my retirement. Depends on Ford at this point.

It’s a “sun to die out” post. “Sun to die out,” is a true statement in the way that “you will die” is a true statement. Timing and source makes the story: “Sun to die out tomorrow say a panel of esteemed scientists” is a story.

The Edge, Escape, Taurus, Focus, Fiesta…. Nothing lasts forever. A year from now, maybe Ford will have an electric pickup they call “Ranchero” and an electric crossover they call the “e-scape.” At that time, maybe they quit making the performance electric thing that goes by the moniker “Mustang Mach-e.” Meh.

That new platform is intended to be cheap enough to manufacture an EV, that the Mach-E will likely have to be moved over to the new one. We can only guess what name the compact SUV model will be.
