Some scrote has scuffed up and dented the Mach e. Managed to polish out most of the damage but am left with a small dent and scuffs to the black wheel arch trim on my premium Mach e.

Any ideas how to remove scuffs, t-cut? If so which one and all the dent. See pictures, no paint broken or cracked, chips away maybe?

That part is between $100 to $200 depending on which one it is.

Thanks for the reply but replacing it would seem a little dramatic baring in mind it’s just a light scuff, it’s not even rough so surely t-cut would remedy it?
The dent is another matter, hoping paintless dent removal guy will be able to push it out

What is t-cut?
this is why I posted in the UK section but then a mod moved to this one. T-cut is basically a compound that removes small surface scratches and a very well known product in the UK BUT there are a few variations so was asking UK people of anyone had experience of using on the exterior wheel trim of a premium Mach e.

If it is similar to a rubbing compound it might work on a paint smudge from another vehicle but if it is more of a scratch into the auto paint itself I'd be wary of actually making it worse.

There are (mostly) guys who specialize in fixing these sorts of things. We could jokingly call them C+, B-, B body shops. They can make a dented car look a whole lot better, and at pretty modest costs. For a 5 year old car it is almost a no-brainer. 3 year old, maybe worth the A+ treatment.

Friend got hit by a big pickup (very low speed), dented and removed some paint from a 15 year old car (in excellent condition), the 'B' guy fixed it for less than $2000. If you know where to look you can see some of the places where it was damaged.

At an approved ford bodyshop I’ve no doubt that the repair would be well over £1k and I very much doubt it would be any better than using a good PDR specialist.

Just been quoted ÂŁ300 from a PDR outfit with a good reputation so will be going down that route

The part itself is actually just polished black plastic. I had a few rock chips in an upper mirror cover. I sanded the high sports down, filled the holes with gloss black automotive paint, waited a week or so for it to cure, then sanded it (400, 600, 800) and polished it. I know exactly where a couple of the chips in the plastic are and I cannot see them after polishing. ??

Got to get the dent sorted so for a few more £ I’m going to get the trim sorted as well, saves me the hassle but you are right it would seem the scuffs reduce come even with just polishing so a little more effort no doubt you could get rid fairly effortlessly

I got a door ding on the passenger door a couple months ago. I used polishing compound to remove the paint from the other car. I bought a cheap tool ($13) off ebay for pulling the dent.
I used hot glue gun to glue a puller piece to the dent and then pulled out until the glue pulled off.
Had to do this about 3 times to remove the dent.
The dent was very small.

Did you figure out a solution for the scuff marks on the black trim. I have something similar, hoping I can find an easy fix. Thanks

To start with I used Turtle Wax carnauba paste as the scuff on the trim was pretty light and it did a good job practically unnoticible after polishing a fair few times (mine is a premium so its not just the black plastic trim its painted) however the dent itself again hard to spot but i knew it was there so had it all sorted for ÂŁ300 by a paintless dent removal local firm.
To be honest I think ÂŁ300 was pretty steep baring in mind how minor it all was. I reckon about a couple of hours tops for someone who has the right tools and knows what they are doing, but thats inflation for you!!!!!

By your occupation description, I see you have vehicle sales experience! So you should be comfortable going back to your dealer and ask for their used car prep person to give you a price. The price and quality will surprise you.

Clearly you are referring to me being a former spy?
I’m not Uber disappointed at the price it cost to repair, I’m just a man that watches his bank balance like a hawk!!

£300 realistically isn’t a lot of money for the repair and ultimately I don’t look at the damage everyday and shake my head in disbelief that some moron did it?
