I admit I have no idea how to interpret my order number.

My order number is “Order #FAE:90080549”, ordered March 31st, 2024.

it is said, my projected arrival is September, 2024, but why does someone with a later order date than mine, in 2024, receive their adapter before me???‍

You're #80549. So far they're only shipping order #'s up into the 5000's, all ordered Feb 29.

Yes. The "9" at the beginning is just the series they used for the adapters. The rest is just a sequence# for the orders (at least for US orders... Canada is a bit different).

So it turns out, I ‘guessed’ correctly that I would not see an adapter anytime this year, so purchased an “A2Z”, and it performs wonderfully!

It's possible they catch up for your Sept estimate, although I'd take that with a grain of salt. Could be Sept, could be Dec, could be 2025. The good news is they seem to have ramped up production to a more respectable level, at least. But 80,000 is still a long way off from 5,000, so, cross your fingers.
