I ordered mine on February 29th, and now I'm told it *might* ship in July.

Feb 29 doesn't mean much. There were nearly 20,000 orders placed just that first day. Which hour you placed the order, and actually which minute you placed it (if in the first hour), is what matters. It was like trying to order Taylor Swift ticket.

Or better yet, what your order number is. It appears this 2nd batch filled up to the low 3000's.

The new dispensers (V4) have longer cables, a design decision likely made in anticipation of Tesla opening up to other makes.
And just as importantly, V4s are centered in the parking spots. The 9' cables alone (vs the 6' in the V3s) wouldn't be enough to reach the other side (parking in the intended spot). But 9' combined with the centered charger does.

9' would still help with curbs, but I'm not sure they're planning to use curbs on new stations anymore. They've taken the parking blocks and bollards out of most of the adapter capable V3 stations.

Awsome! Is that an AMX lurking behind the Falcon. I stumbled across a YouTube channel called autopedia la, has quite a few Mustang GT 350s/GT 350 clones. Love it. Those cars are beast. I love my electric Mach E but the smells of lightly burned oil, a bit of gasoline, a little hint of brake fluid are intoxicating, and the sounds, love it. Yes, I know, off topic …
There are three surviving Penske Javelins that run in the Historic Trans-Am series. These cars are all the real deal that raced in the Trans-Am between ‘67 and ‘72. No clones allowed and all of the cars are documented. Many of them just run 85% or so. Sometimes you get 5 or so of them running over 95% and it gets insane to watch. ??

Yep, and in the first half hour of orders they already got into the low 3000s. ??

I wasn't able to place an order until about 8am PST on Feb 29 and have an order number just over 9000. Originally I had a May ship date which subsequently got pushed to June. I figure I'll see it sometime in July. I'm very happy that I have an A2Z adapter in hand right now to tide me over.

Oh wow. I didn’t realize batch two was less than 1,000 units then. Might be July or August before the 4,000-5,000 units come up for shipping ? I believe I’m right around 4,500

Based on the numbers reported, it sounds like the second batch was somewhere around 2500. #32xx was the highest reported here. The first batch seemed to top out around #800 (excluding the handful of mistakes in the 8000's).

If you're around #4500, I'd guess you'll be the 3rd batch. It's anyone's guess when batch #3 will show up, of course. No one knows if Tesla's production and shipping to Ford (and Rivian) has restarted at full speed, or only occurring at a trickle. Hopefully the former, or else this will take years. Between Ford and Rivian, there's gotta be over 150,000 orders now.

Steve, that's great stuff. Love it. Are you racing a GTO? What type of events? That would be cool.

Way back in the early/mid 70s I raced in SCCA. I was NO where close to the talent, power or speed of these drivers and their cars. They're in a different racing galaxy from the one I was in. But, I do have some national and regional podium hardware still lying around the house. I raced a couple of years in Showroom Stock Sedan when it was a fairly new class. I ran an Opel 1900, Ascona to our European friends. That Opel was one good, tuff car. It and the Datsun 510s where the cars to beat in Showroom Stock in those days. The Vega might have been decent. Pinto's were also rans. Then I "graduated" to HP with a Fiat 850 Spyder. I lapped much faster in the Fiat. I'm inclined to think a lot of the pace was the cornering capability of the 850 compared to the Opel. My 850 was a pretty strong regional car but not up to the level and pace of the people running seriously in nationals. Most of the cars running in HP then were "Sprigets". Them wuz the daze my friend. And, on that note, in racing, there is no substitute for cubic dollars !!

I think I saw one article that mentioned GM being delay. But Insideevs spoke to GM after that story came out and GM said that they’re not delayed. The GM rep said that Spring technically ends on June 30, so that means that they’re still within the stated timeframe, per the GM rep.

Whether GM is onboarded by June 30 is anyone’s guess seeing as how the Supercharger team was dismantled.
No matter what GM says, Spring ends on June 20th, i.e. 8 days from now.

I actually got a reservation for the adapter….Taylor Swift tickets didn’t work out that well.

I wish the Tempest in my avatar was mine. In Pontiac circles, the car is known as The Grey Ghost. It was a grocery getter until GM kicked Pontiac out of the SCCA program after the ‘70 season. The engineer in charge of the program (who also happens to be the father of the Firebird Trans Am) gave his bosses the finger by taking his wife’s 7 year old car and turning it into a race car. It was the only mid-sized car racing against the factory Pony Cars in 1971 (as a privateer effort). Bob Tullius drove it to a P2. It’s been winning HTA races with John Hildebrand at the wheel. ??

I know what you mean about lack of talent. That’s me. I put guys in the Toyotas I built and they were faster than me and faster than their own cars. ??

The Toyotas got me an interview with AAR in the late ’80s for work on their Toyota program. Them totally was the days! ??

I just traded in my old 2022 Select for a 2023 Premium, and my previous order # was 90020154 (scheduled for July). Now that my old car is no longer associated with me in my FordPass app, I can't see the status of that order, but my new order for my new car is 90113392 (scheduled for October). I'm hoping that my first order goes through, still, but who knows. I get that it had to be done via VIN so only actual owners would get their adapters, but I wish it would have been done by FordPass account so I wouldn't be at risk of waiting until October (or later).
I’m thinking I’m not even gonna get mine till July and my number is 90009159, which I’m guessing mine is in the 9000s how you read that number. Your original order was 20,000 something that comes in July. I’ve got to think I’ll get mine this month but I’m not holding my breath.

Order number 90003934, ordered on 2-29-2024 and still says in production. I called a while back and they said there was a glitch in the system, according to the computer skipped ordered placed on the 29th because that day doesn't exist! I just called all excited and they said "Oh yeah yours says shipped, it was delivered yesterday in Florida" I LIVE IN ARIZONA!! @Ford Motor Company

Look like mine shipped 4511. From Shipping Department in Dearborn, MI to Valued Customer.
I am 54xx, getting soooooo close! Did you get a Ford shipping notification or was this from FedEx?
