Just got my notice from Ford and the tracking number they gave me says Friday. For some reason my Fedex shipping manager still doesn't show anything.

...If I call it 70,000 and say the end of September is 3 1/2 months from now, to make that date Tesla/Ford would have to pump out about 20,000 units a month. I think that will happen when pigs fly. Even 10,000 a month puts me at year end. If the production runs 24/7 to achieve 10,000 a month means about 14 an hour have to be produced. 24/7 is not going to happen, no way the OT and shift differential costs will be paid by Tesla or absorbed by Ford, and then of course there's the issue of obtaining the raw materials to make the things.

I've been playing with mine (details will stay secret... a gentleman never tells ). These adapters are just NOT THAT complex. They are not Space Shuttle "Unobtainium" materials by any means.

Feb 29 doesn't mean much. There were nearly 20,000 orders placed just that first day. Which hour you placed the order, and actually which minute you placed it (if in the first hour), is what matters. It was like trying to order Taylor Swift ticket.

Or better yet, what your order number is. It appears this 2nd batch filled up to the low 3000's.

Yes. Think of it this way, so far Ford has only delivered adapters reserved in the first hour of ordering on Feb 29th. There were over 3000 orders by 9 AM.

Here is a new Tesla site that's not online yet with the V4 dispensers and with the way they oriented them, even V3 dispensers would have worked. But the V4 oriented like this will even work for the EV trucks (Silverado and Cybertruck) that have the charge port in the rear when parking nose in.

Can you back in like a Tesla and verify the cable is long enough to reach your charge port?

I will try when it opens (no idea when that will be). I tried to check the reach but the handles are currently locked into their holsters.
