Went to Ford main dealer, how much for a 20k service on a Mach-E and what's involved? Get handed a pamphlet showing oil change, engine air filter etc. I tell them it's an EV (There's 3 sat outside on their own sales forecourt). Oh, it's electric.... it doesn't need anything then.

So yeah, that's what you get from a main dealer.

Cabin air filter is no tool, $25, 5 minutes. So you're paying $100 for them to rotate the tires and ?

Oh your battery failed and our records show you didn't have the 20k service done, sorry we are nullifying your warranty. That's what you are in theory paying for.

Did the 10K. Checked prices. One dealer was $250, “we have to take the frunk apart.” The other did it for $35 at my house. The visual checks seemed cursory but I’m not a mechanic. Filled my washer fluid.

UK must be totally different. My service is literally just rotation, glancing at tire tread, and replacing a filter. They never check for updates or really do anything deeper than give it a quick glance.

We don’t tend to F about routinely rotating tyres over here is one difference and our service schedule is 2 years unlimited miles which for me works out at 60,000 miles?

Want anyone to do anything at your house? It’s $120 just to show up…… THEN they charge you more once they actually perform any work.

Yes. You can swap out the air filter in a few minutes for $25. You can also do your own tire rotation for free (if you have the tools and the time). Or a local tire shop will do it for $25-40 if you go that route.

Dealership is usually 2X on any service vs a local shop. I only use them for warranty work for this reason. Sounds like the OP’s dealer is charging half an hour of labor. (Yeah, they bill $200/hr).

I have 25,000 miles on my 2021 FE Mach-E and I have not paid anything for all my services, I used the points that I got for my original purchase plus the points I received for the HVB JB recall. I Still have approx $75 worth of points.

Ah, must admit it depends on your dealer. I bought and have service at Landmark Ford in Tigard Oregon and can't recommend them high enough. Yes I change the cabin filter myself. Tire Rack, (Americas Tire for tires...).
