I did this whole setup and for some reason half the time the car ignores the settings and blows past the 90% mark. Really pisses me off because it’s not good for the battery to go to 100%.
Same problem here.
I even deleted my home profile and made a new one with a 85% charge limit. No effect. The car still charges to 100% ?

Do you use the "Charge car when plugged" or "Charge with preferred settings"?
Anyway, my settings are "Charge anytime" as my electricity rates dont't vary over time.
So, it should not matter...

Since you've already tried deleting home and starting over. Select "Charge with preferred settings" , change your charging schedule to be no more than 23 hours per day/weekends too. See if that helps, it worked with some charging weirdness on mine.

Also don't plug in the car, unplug (don't drive it), and then plug it back in. That seems to override the settings and force charge to 100%.

In the FordPass App, on the home screen, at the top, make sure you have the proper vehicle selected. Then, on the bottom, click the “vehicle” icon. Then, just below the battery indication there are three submenus, “Your Vehicle,” “Manage EV,” and “Service & Support.” Slect “Manage EV.” Then from the options that show up “Manage Charging” is the top selection. Once on the “Manage Charging” page, half way down is “Charge Settings.” Then part way down will be “Manual Charge Settings.” It seems counterintuitive but you have to click in to “Preferred Charge Times” to bring up “Saved Locations.” If you have saved your home location then you can click the address to bring up the specifics for your charging location. THIS is where you can set a limit within the app. But as someone above mentioned, make sure then scroll down and hit the “Save” button.
I will say, that the above process failed for me quite a few times (though I may have been missing the “save” step). What did work was saving the home location on the big screen from inside the car and then setting the charging preferences from there.
Good post. The problem I have is that the SAVE button is disabled in "Previous Locations" so I can't it to "Saved Location". My address is there and I do charge with the 240V charge that came with the car, but no matter what I can't get the SAVE button activated so I can save it. Not very intuitive. Anyway to bypass and set via the car's menu?

So after posting this I did figure out how to set the charge limit in-vehicle. You just to Charge Settings and click on the edit button to create a charge schedule. Part of that schedule allows you to set a limit.

But I’d still like to figure out the problem with FordPass.

So if you leave the 240V charger that came with the car plugged in, it won't charge until the schedule you set or does the 'scheduled charging' only work with the charging station Ford sells?

The schedule set in the car will work with any L2 charger. Mobile Charging Cord, Ford Connected Charge Station, my Clipper Creek, L2 at a hotel, etc. However, there may be conflicts if you are using both scheduled charging in the car and programmed charging on the EVSE.

Not quite understanding why there isn't an overall charge limit. I've had mine blow past the limit at my home too. Does this really not exist? I've only had my MME for 4 days now. Have I missed this setting?

I agree. Why can't we set a default charge limit that always applies regardless of location, and allow custom location-based charged limits in cases where something different is desired? Further, if the Ford documentation specifically advises charging to 90% most of the time AND waiting for the batteries to cool, that should really be the default behavior of the car.

The time I had problems with the charge schedule not being honored, the car navigation didn't register as being at home (the charging schedules designated location). Took a day or two for the nav to come back to it's senses, then the charge worked as expected.

That explains why I can't set it in the app.

The erroneous GPS position has been a known bug for a while, it definitely caused this issue for me twice. If your car charges to 100% at home, go to the maps in the Ford pass app and see where it shows the car. I have seen it 1 mile away, 12 miles away, and once after a trip 100 miles away. My nav quit working the time it got stuck over 100 miles away, showed the car in Tucson when I arrived home in Phoenix.

It charges just fine, all the way to 100% which is what I'm trying to avoid. My issue is I can set a schedule but the "Save" button is disabled so I can't save it. Can't figure out why.

Grayed out Save button usually means something the app wants filled in is not filled in....make sure Name, Address etc, including charge level are set. I had to reset some of these already set options to make the Save button active at times.

There used to be a setting where you could set the charge limit. Not sure when it was removed and during what update.... At least I can no longer find the option or setting.

Same here. I can't change my charge limit anymore. I tried to delete the app and re download but that didn't do anything. I don't know what to do.
