Shipping Tracking (Rail) question

Hi all! New here! I have two MME's currently en route from being built in Mexico to Southern Ontario. I can see the estimated delivery date on the Ford Website, but I hear there is a way to track their physical location on the train/etc to get a ballpark idea where they are. Does anyone know how or where I can do that? Secondly, has anyones ETA on the Ford website actually changed for them? Does it update itself if there are changes? (like Tesla does, where delivery window constantly changes?). Thanks in advance!

I did! A ton! LOL. It only lists US website and its a login name when I click. I haven't seen anything specifically for Canadians.

So far I've been chatting with Ford USA to get a rail car # and then calling the rail company for an update on the rail car.

Let me know if you find a better wat to do this.

Thanks. I called Ford Canada today. They had nothing. Said my dealer may have. He said he got a number but has yet to get back to me.

Do you know which build week your maches belong to?

When maches come off production they go from the waiting area of the Cuautitlan assembly plant to the trainyard in Lecheria, Mexico. After that they will slowly make their way to the boarder towards their next stop Laredo, Texas. Next stop, Kansas City.

Once they have made their way to Richard-Gebaur, Kansas City, MO they should be loaded on to a CP Railway train heading north to Ontario in a couple of days. Once you get a CPR rail car # from either Ford USA or your dealership you will be able to track its progress in a more detailed fashion through the automated phone tracking line.

Awesome thanks. The US links didnt work for Canada. It was October 24th Build Date. I have the window stickers and it seems to have the date and stuff on the bottom... with lots of info... ?

To access ford.com chat you need to use a VPN to give yourself an US ip address.

Other Canadian users who aren't familiar with VPN have called the Ford USA support line instead and have had success!

I think the trick is to be persistent! Convince them that Ford Canada is no help and you're alone in this cruel world without their help! ? In the harsh Canadian winter no less!

My dealer is still only seeing Richards-gebuar on their end. I’ll try Ford chat again but last time I asked if they had the new railcar they said it would be the same one. That made no sense at all since, well, even though CP merged with KCS, the KCS car is back in Mexico lol.

Some more updates on the train car in the last 24hrs, it's making real good progress! Might arrived in Vancouver tomorrow at this pace!

My progress since leaving Kansas City, but until it actually arrives at the destination ford chat will still show the location at Richards-Gebaur Kansas City.

In order to track the Kansas City -> Canada rail car you need the CP rails railcar number.

You first need the mach-e to be handed to CP Rails at Richards-Gebaur 6R ramp. Seeing that we're on the same build week, it should be at the stage. Once its handed to CP rails you should be able to obtain the number either from your dealership or Ford USA agent.

Once you have the CPR railcar number, you will be able to track it via the automated tracking phoneline.
