Has anyone noticed exceptionally slow charging with the supplied charger on a 240 outlet? Lately I have noticed that charging takes forever at home and now with the app update I can see it’s only pulling a charge rate of 3kw?

Thoughts?

The Ford Mobile Charger (FMC) is known to have thermal issues, especially at 220-240V. Every time it gets used and it brings itself to a temperature that it can't really handle, it damages itself a little, resulting in slower and slower charging until it eventually just errors out. You would be doing yourself a favor by getting an L2 charger from a reputable manufacturer. ??

Thank you! Was hoping to avoid that but may be out of luck. I’ve had it for a year now with no issues.

It's a POS. I bought a North American made Grizzl E charger and my charging problems went away.

Ditto but I got the j1772 version. The wall connector tells me 11.1 but I figure that 1 is the overhead. Sadly i thought it was going to be a touch more customizable than it is but it works and I really like that cord and it's size.

Cool, the Mach E can accept 10.9 KW , I thought about the J1772 version but as I have the model Y went for that version. Compared to MY at 10KW Mach E pulls about 35 miles per hour compared to 44 for the Tesla.

Same started happening to me last month after circa 6 months. Replaced it with a ChargePoint Flex.

BTW - has anyone had any luck with Ford warranting it? I'd still like a "working" unit for traveling.

Mine is suddenly slower than if I had plugged into a standard 110 ;-( I'd really like to not have to replace it myself - is it not under warranty?

I'm having an issue today where I plug it in to a 50amp outlet and it's only charging at 1kw... I tried unplugging and plugging it back into the car, the outlet, and the 50amp cord end and still will only charge at 1kw.

Anyone else had this issue of just 1kw? Based on prior comments it appears my charger may be defective.

I usually use it on 120v but was trying to charge it at a the neighbor's house with a 50 amp outlet in preparation for a long drive this evening.
