As the General stated, the "50" in 14-50 means 50A max.

It should also be noted that the breaker size will not affect your charging rate (unless it trips!).

Without more information (what EVSE you have, state of charge before/after, was the car actually charging the entire time....) it's hard to be more specific.
OK thanks. I am going to have him put in a 50a breaker. He currently has me on a 60a b/c i was out of space and I am using my A/C breaker. I am hoping that is the issue.

The breaker needs to be changed for safety reasons - as I stated previously, it's not going to affect your charging speed.

If your wiring is sized for 60A, you could leave the breaker and switch your ChargePoint to hardwired. That would give you the full 48A that the MME supports.

Hey guys - quick update that may help others. I had said that my Chargepoint Home Flex is only putting in about 11 miles/hour of charging on a 60a circuit (plug-in install, waiting on 50a breaker today) I called ChargePoint and they told me that my charger was only set for 20 amps, and they changed it to 50 amps. I had set it for 50a in the app when I set it up, but she said that it did not take. Weird b/c the only two choices during set-up are 40a or 50a.

IIRC it defaults to 20A if you don't set it differently in the app. Sounds like your setting not saving caused the default. Glad you got it figure out. I've been happy with my CPHF. ?
