I haven't had an OTA update since last October. Today I went into the garage and got in the car. I first checked the connectivity and it said the WIFI is connected and the signal strength is FAIR. I clicked on "Software Updates" and it said - getting latest software update info, this may take a minute or so. I waited 10 minutes and there were still just three moving dots on the screen. I backed out of the software and back in a second time with the same result. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions regarding this? Thanks. (2023 Premium AWD Extended Range).

Is the connected services menu also not populating?

You'll likely need to pull the fuse for the GWM or disconnect the 12v for 10 minutes to reset it and that should start working again.

Sync isn't getting the info from the other modules to show the data.

Yeah several threads on this . The fuse to pull is 21/22.

I had this happen a few months ago.

The ford dealer ended up disconnecting the 12V battery on the 2nd trip because all the updating they did , did not solve the problem.

It has been fine ever since.

The fuse pulling seems like an easier fix if it works...

Unfortunately, pulling the fuse did not work. The fuse (#21-22) was removed for 20min and still software updates screen won't load.

I see no connected services menu in the in-car SYNC screen? I can load connected services in the FordPass app no problem.

I recommend the 20 minute battery pull as @benk016 suggested. Pulling the fuse for the GWM

Do the battery pull for 20 minutes. If the TCU is locked up and not the GWM, pulling the fuse for the GWM won't do anything to help the cause. It is better to pull the battery to force a hard reset of the entire module network when this happens. I know it is tedious to do on these cars, but it works better than the fuse pull trick.

The battery pull is more robust . I think tcu is fuse 11/12 or 12/13 if you want to try that

Update...I just disconnected the 12V battery negative terminal for 20min. When I reconnected, the Software Updates screen loaded! Message said - Update 10.1.1 not completed! Automatic updates are set for 1:00am every day so hopefully it will finish with this update tonight?

"Not completed" means that OTA failed. You will have to to wait for them to resend it, but it should go through now after the battery pull you did whenever they do send it.

Okay, update 10.1.1 was successful last night! This is the first update since Oct. 31, 2024. Anyone know how far behind I am? How many updates have there been since 10.1.1?
