Spare Tire Options?

Just purchased a Mach E which I knew would not come with a spare tire. Was surprised though to find out Ford does not make one for purchase. I have found some companies that claim to sell one that will fit. Has anyone purchased a spare tire for their Mach that works? We have always had a spare in previous vehicles and would like one for long trips.

I got "lucky" and had to replace two of my tires due to a sidewall puncture on one, and I kept the other tire that was fine. Bought a wheel, and now have a full size spare if I ever need it. Not sure about a small size spare.

Thank you so much for your patience. We finally have good news.
Some of you have been waiting a very long time for your spare tire order and your patience is not going unnoticed.
The delays with your order are the result of your vehicle needing a very specific tire size for the spare.
Modern vehicles are extremely sensitive to proper tire sizing and this applies to the spare tire just as it does for the regular tires.
Because of this, a simple substitution in tire size for your spare is not a good option.

The war in Ukraine has affected European tire production overall and specifically Continental's ability to make this tire for us.

We have finally sourced this tire size from a lesser-known manufacturer out of Asia that meets all of our own specs and standards as well as stringent DOT and European standards.

These tires are now ordered and are being shipped to us. When they arrive we will be processing orders using this tire.
While we are not able to provide precise dates that your order will ship to you, we expect to have orders start shipping out within 5-8 weeks but possibly sooner.
This only affects a small portion of the spare tire kits we offer but at this point, we do not expect that Continental will be able to provide this specific tire size in the future.

Jaguar i-pace spare fits like a glove. There are several other jags that have the same spare. You can get them on ebay for under $100 shipped, or around $50 at a local junkyard.

Your search may be too narrow. Search for "175/80r19" on eBay and a ton of spares will come up. The Mach-E has a 5x108 bolt pattern, so any car with the same pattern will work. The Fpace, Ipace, range rover velar, and more have that pattern, so any of those spares will work. I saw a few for around $150 shipped just now.

Car-part has even more if you search for a late model F-Pace, look for wheel, and pick the 19x4.5". They also have a 20in aluminum spare if you want to be extra fancy

You are 100% sure the ebay 175/80r19 tires will fit the mach-e gt 2022? I want a tire to immediately change out after repair of original tire, ie flat, use spare, take flat tire to shop, change out. Seems like inexpensive option to buy $135 tire and then just buy jack. You did this?

I only take it with me when I travel. Then it goes in the back.

My husband thought I was crazy to buy it but it was very useful when he did something stupid and punctured a tire.

If I can believe the specs on google my wife's Ford Edge and Mach-E both use 5x108 bolt pattern. The Edge has an undersized "donut" under the trunk. Both cars are AWD. In a pinch I've thought the Edge might be able to rescue the MachE from the roadside by donating it's spare but I'm not sure. Could the Mach-E gently limp home a few miles on the undersized donut without messing anything up due to the differential rotation rate with the other tire in the AWD system? Put differently is a full diameter spare needed? I presume the Edge is tolerant of the differential rotation because FMC shipped it with that spare. The innards of the MachE are, of course, different. I suppose there could be rotor clearance issues too.

Used OEM wheels are not hard to find on ebay. The ticket price for one of those and a full size tire might be less than the Modern Spare Kit.

I’m looking for a spare tire for my 22 Mach E Premium RWD, which has a 225/55 R 19 tire.

Would a 155/85 R 18 with load index of 115M be good for my car? I see those could be found from Range Rover Evoque spares, which I assume to have the same 5x108 lug pattern.
