Speedometer/cruise control icon

I have a '23 Mach E premium.. and having an issue with my dash. When the cruise control is off, the little car icon still shows in the dash.. and speedometer still sits to the right.. Is there a way to eliminate the car icon from the screen when cruise is off ?

Don’t forget the big empty space between the car in the middle and the battery level indicator. ??

Hmm I think this problem is unique to you? I haven't seen a soul complain about it here.

What bugs me is how sometimes the gray car is big and sometimes it's small, even with all the driver aids disabled. It's unpredictable, just like whether or not the Navigation app will still be running next time I get in the vehicle. ?

Not sure if OP ever figured this out and I know this is an old post, but considering this happened to me and this was one of the 1st posts I found about the topic, I just wanted to post this in case others also run into this.

Mine started acting up out of nowhere. Normally, wiping the sensors and cameras would fix it, but this time, that didn’t work.

After reaching out to support, they suggested a factory reset, which seems to have resolved the issue so far. While going through the settings again to reconfigure everything, I noticed an option in the Driver Assistance section—collision indicator. By default, it was turned off, but when I switched it on to see what it did, the distance indicator and car visualization reappeared on the dash.

If you're still having trouble, check if that setting was turned on unexpectedly and try switching it off. I never enabled it myself, so I suspect an error or update might have changed it automatically.

Probably turned itself on during an update.
