Does your car have the kick to open @iftgate trunk? 2021 model year or early 2022?
Yeah, I've got a Job1 Premium with the kick to open. There was another incident a month or so ago when the lift gate was open when I left for work. My wife had left an hour earlier, and she said it was closed when she left.
I’ve had two liftgate uncommanded openings in recent months. The first was when I opened the garage door (east facing door) where the mme and is nosed in just as the sun was cresting Maunakea. That bit of light was enough to trigger the sensor. The other was yesterday when vacuuming the car and pull the vacuum past the rear of the car.
For one of the recent openings, I did drop the key fob onto a hard floor when getting ready for work that day. It's a double press to open the hatch, though, so that shouldn't have opened the hatch.I’ve had two liftgate uncommanded openings in recent months. Those are the only times it’s happened in 5 years of ownership. I’m pretty convinced that odd bits of light are to blame for some of this (definitely not all). But I’ve never had the frunk uncommanded open. I thought I did once until I realized the PAAK phone was in my back pocket with the Ford App open and on top and in my back pocket. Butt door frunk opening in other words.
