The car not me. A few months ago I posted that my car, a 2023 MME Select AWD, had a whine from about 10 to 30 MPH. A Ford rep contacted me on the Forum and told me to take the car in for a check. There is a TSB for 2022 MMEs about the whine. The dealer said there were no fault codes, which I already knew, and I took the car home. The whine has continued. Has anyone else had this issue and if so was it resolved in any way?

Took car in for service at c58,000 before warranty expired and reported whining transmission so if a failure occurred out of warranty would be covered under warranty.

Turned out to be an inspired decision?

As a time served car & commercial mechanic & technician, diagnostician and forensic vehicle examiner was told it was tyre noise from the Mich CC2s I fitted.

A focussing of minds followed and a clicking/creaking developed from right rear drive/suspension, same fault appeared on left rear so went in for wheel bearings which cured under warranty.

There are software updates available for PCM powertrain control module to resolve the whining which was also applied andquietened it down but still is there in background.

Not sure if it’s me noticing it more??‍♂

How re-writing software cures a mechanical issue is anybody’s guess, probably just de-tunes car in some way so it doesn’t allow car to achieve the operating conditions which presents the whining symptom of wear or some other condition ??‍♂

Anyhow, in short, I’d go see if there’s a software update available for yours.

It was whining, they agreed in the end it was and notwithstanding mine is RWD updated all same modules to which that AWD TSB specifies and it’s a little better.

I have that whine on my 2023 CA Rt 1 - most noticeably at 30 mph. I'm about two months away from my 10k service and I am going to mention it then.

That was actually the thread, started by @Mach-Lee, where @Old_Norm asked this question and was promoted by Ford to DM them…
I didn't notice that before because I only found the link for my own problem last month... apologies!

The TSB says no error codes may be present. If @Old_Norm doesn't have a copy to provide, it may let them get it looked at again.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Mach-E concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

I've noticed that whine on my '22 E4X for most of my 12,077 km (7,500 mi). Have to schedule a visit to the dealer...

There’s nothing wrong! That’s the sound of your car! It’s normal. You’re just not used to it. The sound is more obvious at roughly 30 mph, but we’ve all been listening to the sound ICE cars make when we drive them and so that different sound makes you feel like something’s wrong. It’s not. I barely notice it anymore.
