Sto-n-Sho Bracket Question

For those of you who have the Sto-n-Sho front license bracket, can you share whether that has caused any issues with your front sensors or radar? I read that the radar for the adaptive cruise control is located between the left/right shutters and where the license plate would be mounted with the Sto-n-Sho. Not sure if there are other sensors right in that area. Any insights would be appreciated.

Yes, in stock form, the plate will interfere. The solution is to straighten the rods that are angling the plate upwards. I used a plastic dead blow hammer. No sensor issues after that.

Thanks. In straightening the rods, does that result in the license plate angling lower? So is the radar/sensor located in the upper portion of that area and angling it down unblocks the sensor?

Did you consider the Craig’s bracket? If so what made you go with the sto n show instead?

Also I wonder why they have not fixed this issue by now with so many people saying they had to bend the rods down. By how much did you have to bend them?

I went with the Sto N Show because it uses a factory screw and is not held on solely by sticky mounting squares. I did have to replace the stickies on the Sto N Show because they came loose and lost grip. This could be because the the plate is low enough to scrape on some parking curbs and large dips. I figure I'd rather sacrifice the plate than the splitter.

You only have to bend the rods 10-15 degrees, I'd say. It isn't much and only takes a few good whacks.

I bought the Sto n sho about 6 weeks ago. Sensor error messages appeared immediately! Emailed STO N SHO and they said they were working on a fix. Received the modified bracket a week ago. NO PROBLEMS WITH NEW BRACKET!

I got my car recently and was looking at Sto and Sho as option so did you buy it from the vendor or third party. I presume orginal vendor is better as you got replacement for it. I have same car as you so wanted to check if there are any issues anymore with sensors as that was my main concern as few folks have had issues. You are saying they have fixed this issue so i can go ahead and order it from their site.
