Stop ship??

OMG I'm so angry. My dealer called 3 weeks ago to tell me my GTPE is in Atlanta rail yard...but no truck to take it the last 25 miles. It's been 3 weeks and Monday Ford put a "stop ship" on it but no one can give me any clarity as to why. Completely in the dark. I was fine with all the delays until yesterday and now I'm incredibly pissed at the horrible communication / customer service.

Stop ships happen a lot. It's a quality assurance measure. Something has been identified that may impact that vehicle and it needs to be inspected and fixed if necessary. Details about stop ships are usually confidential within Ford and its suppliers/dealers.

Typically it's a better overall customer experience to have concerns checked out and resolved before you take ownership.

I didn’t get a stop ship, but after my car arrived 29 miles from my dealer at the rail distribution center on 11/28, my ETA changed from 11/21-11/27 to 12/29-1/4. What a shitshow.

Hey everyone. My MME Order has a stop ship on it for some reason. No recall notification or anything that pulls with the vin, no dealer information. Nothing. It's a premium RWD SR. Ordered June, built 9/13 and it's been sitting in a hold lot since 10/14. Any insight would be awesome.

My tracker went from ETA OF 10/12-10/18 to now 11/15.

Same situation (model, build date, delivery, and hold) but my dealer marked it as sold….

Any update on your situation?
