Just picked up my 2024 GT and did my first charge at a Tesla SC station (talk about trying to navigate the stall for the charge cable to reach the port). Other than pressing the coupler unlock on the light ring, is there a remote way to stop the car from charging when plugged in at a Supercharger station? I can’t find anything on the app or in the sync screen.

upper right corner of sync 4 screen on the "settings" screen. The unlock is next to the open frunk button and liftgate button.

You get to the "settings" screen by clicking on the vehicle icon left upper corner. This screen displays drive modes, etc. You'll see the unlock button right upper corner next to frunk and liftgate open buttons

Thank you! I was looking for something in the main body of the screen. Missed the little icon. Need to spend more time learning this UI.
Is there a way to stop from the ford pass app if I’m away grabbing a bite?

you can stop ac charging from fordpass but I'm not sure about dc charging, I've owned mach es for three years and only dc charged twice. Open fordpass, it should show status "charging" now for AC charging it has a button to "stop charging" but I don't know if that appears for d/c charging. You might take a look.

When you’re finished DC charging, it’s good etiquette to move your car as soon as you can to allow others access. I don’t think I’ve every had a use to stop DC charging remotely.

I was going to mention the idle fees too, as to discourage leaving a car in place after charging, some companies charge really high idle fees once you stop charging.

Popular opinion says you need to move your car as soon as it’s done charging. Don’t let it sit there while you finish dinner, you’re blocking a charger and you will be charged idle fees.

FYI I time my meal stops so I’m back before 80%.

Thanks all. I certainly wasn’t implying I want to idle and totally get the etiquette. To confirm, yes Ford Pass does allow a stop in AC mode as it did when I plugged it in at home, but it doesn’t seem to in DC. I suspect it would have to be done from the Tesla app in this case. In any event, appreciate the good info. With an expensive NACS adapter on my car, I wouldn’t want to leave the car any way!

You would use the same app to stop it that you used to activate the charger. But if you used Plug & Charge, then you might have to stop it with the unlock button on the car.

It doesn't stop in AC mode, it pauses. It will resume. Unplug if you don't want it to charge up to the set limit.

This is mildly confusing; my understanding is you just push the "ring" indicator/button by the car's charge point to stop charging and then disconnect the plug and return it to it's receptacle on the charger. I've used both Tesla and EV America DC chargers. EV America has a button to push to accept charge(s) and stop the charge which I push, then push the ring button. It rotates to half white lights and then I unplug.

I assume you may be discussing stopping the charge with Ford Pass while you're away from the car...or not. Since I purchased the car in August, I've been charging 99% of the time with the Ford supplied cord/charger from my 240 plug at home.

I'm doing a 3,000 mile road trip next month and I want to make sure I'm doing things correctly.
