Has anyone else heard plastic creaking sounds from the strain of the weight of DC fast charging cables when they plugin from Electrify America chargers when trying to charge your Mach E? I'm worried it will crack the plastic or damage the charging port. Has anyone reported any damage from the weight exerted on the port when plugging in to fast chargers?

Yes, I did worry about the weight of the DCFC cable onto the charge port but looking at the design of the charge port receptacle I'd say it pretty tough with lots of wiggle room behind it.

My worst experience was recently using a super thick and heavy Circle K charger recently while driving thru the desert and the weird charge handle that nearly twisted my wrist off.

There's definitely some flex that occurs but it appears to be made that way, I've got 70,000 miles now and have super charged a ton with no issues
Justin, not only do we have the same Mach E model but also I'm only 6.5 thousand miles behind you on the odometer. Happy driving to you!

It probably wouldn't bother me so much if I didn't hear the plastic straining after being plugged in. I have about 20k on mine. I don't do as much driving, and have fast charged quite a number of times. But it has been making this creaking sound since I first bought my first edition. Hearing that others have done a lot more fast charging than me, I guess, makes me feel better. It just doesn't sound good to hear it straining like that under all the weight.

They are my preferred for the time being and no issues. But there is like someone said a little wiggle room

Yeah, on mine and a new customers 23. The weight and angle of the EA stations if you don’t nearly kiss the station if it’s in front of you.
