Strange knocking sounds from car

Why do I hear strange knocking sounds from the car when it is parked and locked? Today I was sitting in the car waiting at the bus stop. The car was fully turned off and there were no lights. Then after a while, I heard some knocking sounds from the front some clicking and clacking as if something was being turned around. It is a knocking sound

What does that mean?

I wish i could record it but it happens randomly.

It's totally normal, nothing to worry about.

Probably the cooling system. It’s normal to hear clicks, clacks, and whirs (and the occasional glugs). ??

It's all the hamsters moving around in the tubes. Nothing to worry about. I will say the MME does 'talk' a lot to it's self.

? I just got mine 2 weeks ago and the other day my partner was in the vehicle when I ran into the store, and when I came out she was outside the vehicle and said it was haunted and she didn't want to be in there. Good to know it's not just me ?

electrical contactors (switches) inside opening and closing as your MME 'wakes up' or goes to sleep, or turning cooling/heating pumps on and off make a clicking sound you may be unfamiliar with. Normal for BEVs.

you can minimize unintended wake-ups while you ePony is sleeping if you either:
- disable bluetooth on your phone, or
- 'force close' the FordPass app on phone so that your car doen't see you in proximity for PAAK to wake up the car.

whichever one you turn off, you'd have to turn it back ON before PAAK will work.

For about 15 minutes after turning off the car various systems stay awake. As they function and shutdown different relays open and close causing this noise.
