Ford halted updates a while back such that any car that made it to 6.1.0 would stay there but would not move on to 6.2.0. The 6.2.0 update got revised and re-released ... and in some cars you'll get 6.2.0 and in other cars it will be 6.2.1 -- regardless of what the number is, the description will be the same ... "if you've recently received 6.2.0 .... this is a re-release".

It's a big update. But things are rolling again. Once you get beyond the 6.2.x update, things start to move quickly (as well as several updates that aren't in the 6.x.x series).

My '23 GT P is now at 6.7.0 (it is in Early Access) and I just got an update for the power lift-gate (which makes me happy ...it installed last night but I haven't tested it. Previously if I poke the button above the license plate to open the lift-gate it will open slightly ... then stop. I have to poke it again to get it to open all the way. If I open it via app or the center screen then it opens all the way -- no problem. I'm hoping thIs update fixes that (my '21 doesn't have that issue).

My 23.5 (September build) was stuck at 6.1.0 for a while, but got 6.2.0 last night.
And today I got 6.3.0 while I was out. Feels weird to get an update while out rather than on the schedule I set, but I guess it says it'll install safe updates whenever it wants.

I'm waiting impatiently for the liftgate fix. Please advise if it fixes the liftgate.

Yeah the schedule you set only applies to updates that require the car to not be driven (aka “downtime”). Otherwise all other updates seem to happen whenever Ford sees fit

This is the first I’ve heard a fix is finally coming. I super hope it fixes the button issue where it stops abruptly a moment after pushing it. Fingers crossed ? Excited to see this.

I've heard that others have received the update but nobody is saying whether it fixes the liftgate.

So far so good. I've used the lift-gate several times since the update and each time it opens correctly.

At one point I thought a sensor must have thought the liftgate was blocked ... until I noticed the pattern that it always worked if I used the app or center-screen to open the liftgate. It only did the partial open (and require hitting the button again) if I used the button above the license plate frame.

My '21 never had this issue. I couldn't imagine why they would change the software for such a simple thing. Anyway... it's working great now. Let's hope it stays that way.

Mine always stalls only when the doors are locked. I'm still waiting for the update.

It wasn’t quite clear to me sorry… what power-up version was this fixed in?
It wasn't part of the 6.x series. It was one of the 23-PUxxxx-xxx updates (I think it ended with either PLO or PLG). I got that update in the morning and as I was driving, I got the notice that it wanted to install 6.8.0. This means when I check the last update, I only see 6.8.0. I didn't get a screen-shot of the update number for the lift gate.

I got 6.3 (my 2023) last Friday while traveling from Memphis to Columbus, OH. 6.7 downloaded while traveling back yesterday and installed yesterday evening. Did not receive notification that 6.4 or 6.6 downloaded so not sure about those. Maybe 6.4 and 6.6 are not applicable to 2023's; who knows lol.
