I am new to this forum. In reading various posts it seems that there is no logic in when a vehicle is built; is that correct?

We purchased MME Premium, eAWD 7/17/2021. Build week 10/18/2021. We have VIN and window sticker. Seems having a VIN and window sticker does not mean much in terms of actual build.

After visiting this forum we now expect a significant delay with little to no communication from Ford.

Am I interpreting the tea leaves correctly?

Wow, I agree NO LOGIC! I ordered on June 23rd (Premium eAWD) received dealer acceptance the next day. Received 2nd confirmation on Tuesday 10/19) that I'm getting a 2022. No build date, vin, or sticker.

How in the world can that happen, I ordered 9/10 and have build week of Nov 29, have a VIN and it is a 21. Not fair To those waiting

BTW I was just in Lutz, have family living on Lake Leclair.

I had no option. Ordered a 2021 in June, received email late September that it was being changed to a 2022. I dropped by the dealer showed them a copy of email/letter they had not seen it prior. I have no complaints with the dealer they seem very accommodating. Then this week I received another confirmation from Ford, that my mache had been ordered.

LOL I have a reservation and converted to order on the first day of order acceptance for GTs. My car was released for shipment a week ago. There are tons of people who had no reservation and ordered way after me who already have delivery. Definitely no logic involved in the prioritization of manufacture.

It’s all about dealer allocation. Buy from the largest Ford dealer in your area for quickest delivery.

Allocation has to do with stock, not custom orders. Further, allocation should not trump nearly a year on reservation. If it does, then there is simply something wrong with the allocation system. I don’t buy it.

EDIT: There is more than one guy who have had reservations for well over a year who are still waiting on their cars to be made. Allocation surely can’t be to blame for their wait. It’s a seriously flawed system where an order placed a year and a half after a reservation gets delivered and that older reservation is still mouldering.

OP. can you add 2022 year model to the options? Got my built date today for 2022, but only see 2021 as an option for year heh.

Just added mine in TX! Order date 7/21/21 and JUST got production date of 12/13/2021. Also, you need to update the submission form to include 2022. My 2021 reservation was bumped to 2022 but in the form I had to submit as a 2021. Please fix! Thanks!

Curious what color you picked and if that had something to do with making it a 22.

I had originally ordered Space White-Premium-RWD-Extended Battery. On a FB group I saw they were allowing change orders and contacted my dealer. Kept everything the same, but changed the color to Grabber Blue. The color change shows online. It seems like anyone with an order but no production date was in limbo and were all bumped to 2022.

I ordered silver 4 wheel drive, premium, extended battery on Sept 10 and they came back and said no more sI’ll ver so I picked dark matter gray. Just got production week a few days ago, 11/29 and it will be a 2021 and they did give me a VIN after some prodding.
