Just added my order. I'm having the same issue rcechinel mentioned above. I got an email on 12/27 from Ford confirming my order has been placed but didn't see an order number on that email. When I log into my account on Ford it doesn't show up under reservations or orders. I've sent a follow up note to my dealer to see if they know what's going on. I wondered if it has to do with the holidays.
From what I gathered from my dealer, the order they created is completely detached from my Ford.com account. He said it should merge in a couple of days, since phone and email are the same. Of course I don't have any confidence this will happen. I tried the chat with Ford and that is only for Sync4 issues, but they basically said until there's a VIN assigned, they don't care.
Miserable experience. While this happens, a friend ordered a model y stress free and getting delivered in February.

I have the same question. There is a 4 digit order # on the order from completed by the dealership. I don't have any other identifying order info than that.
Same situation, I have no order number, just an internal document from the dealership.

Just a quick update for everyone.
Ordered my GT 7/9. Dealer accepted 7/10. Built date for 10/4. Actual build date was 10/30. Shipped 10/31. Estimated arrival 12/3-12/9. Car arrived in KS 11/14. Delivery date changed to 11/14-11/21. Car was delivered 12/2 and I drive away on 12/3. Never got any on hold emails and process was smooth. Went with GT after premium wasnt going to be made until after 2022.
This car is BEAUTIFUL and i could not be happier.
Used Tasca Ford in Cranston, RI and 0 issues.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered on 11/23/21. I won't feel right until it shows up in FordPass.
Ok, thanks for the info. It seems that until you have a VIN, it won't show. The salesperson said VINs are assigned between 6 and 8 weeks.
Did you get any other communication after the purchase?

Ordered back in October 2021, I can see my order on ford site as Accepted by Dealer but it has no production date. Talked to dealer and he how says he can’t see the order and thinks it’s just a reservation and wants me to come in and create a new order with a four digit order number vs my current 8 digit one. Seems to want me to create a new order and “move” my reservation to this new order, as the “order books” just opened two weeks ago and there is no way my “order” is a real order. Anyone had this?

After bugging my sales guy a lot, the sales manager email me this today. Made me feel a little better. The 4 digit code he says is from Ford (shows on the dealer build sheet as a pre-order number). Funny enough, the 4 digits is my home address number, which made me very suspicious, but maybe it's just a coincidence. What this whole thing tells me is that there is a complete separate ordering system for the e-commerce site and for dealers. And both have issues, like the dealer orders not being traceable by us (like my case) and e-commerce having glitches from reservation to ordering post dealers acceptance.

**** is your order # with Ford. Since you did this offline and not through the ecom portal there is no online order id generated. It will track once you have a VIN # assigned just like any other ordered unit but not until that time.

I have a signed document with price breakdown and the "Preview Order" document that were given to me the day that the dealer entered the order. I never received an email response directly from Ford. Perhaps I should have entered the order online instead of having the dealer do it. In any event, I assume I will see nothing until a build date is assigned.

1/3/22: Premium extended range awd in dark matter gray. Dealer and Ford accepted 1/3/22. Waiting on scheduling for production.

Now the long (impatient) wait begins. 28 week estimate at time of order.
